Hey guys!

OK...now I know this could never be an exact science BUT i wondered how much nicotine I was vaping in comparison to before so I wondered if I had my maths correct...

If I have a 30ml bottle of nicotine at 11mg, 1ml of liquid would contain 0.36mg of nicotine... (11mg/30ml=0.36mg)

If I use one tank of nicotine per day at 1.2ml, I would be using 0.44mg of nicotine per day (0.36mgx1.2ml=0.44mg)

I checked out the listings of cigarettes and their nicotine content at http://www.advisorybodies.doh.gov.uk/scoth/PDFS/nfdpm.pdf and as I used to smoke Richmond Superkings, I'd have been smoking 1mg of nicotine for EVERY CIGARETTE (before I switched to roll-ups but that complicates matters)...

Have I really cut down by that much or have I completely misunderstood the quantities in eliquid so my maths is wrong...? I'm really hoping my maths is correct because that would be ASTONISHING!x

The "11 mg" is actually 11mg/ml.
The actual nicotine absorbed is nowhere near 100%, but there definitely is absorbtion.

Search in ecf for "Etter". There is an active, current, thread on a study he just did, measuring cotinine levels in experienced vapers. (nicotine metabolizes to cotinine)

WOW! Thanks for that! I tried to access the full journal article through my uni but it's too recent for me to be able to see for free...

I'm AMAZED by how little nicotine I'm using...

It would still work out as 11mg x 1.2ml = 13.2mg... which is a lot less than I used to smoke.. in cigarette terms that would be 13 cigarettes! In roll-ups it would be 11!x
