Misguided Hateful Miserable Whiny Annoying Frigid Funny Looking Feminists.

The idiot at the front of a line of cars out on the road driving 7mph because it's a subhuman garbage which has ZERO consideration for people who have to actually GET SOMETHING DONE

Arrogant idiots. People who can't be told a :censored: thing, act like and think that they know EVERYTHING, even though they are clueless.

Women who can't :censored:

Incompetent idiots. The kind where you tell them to do something, they agree, and then hopelessly :censored: it up. Like today. I tell two idiots, I have to pick my brother in laws sister up from school by 3:45. It's 3:15. I've been running errands all day. I send them on ONE about a mile away. I look up and it's 3:30. Oh, they must be back by now. Time to go and get the kid. No. They're JUST ALMOST LEAVING. :censored: :censored: :censored:

I AM NOT DONE :D

There is a portion of this post that is eerily ironic.

I fixed this problem myself. I do not use the cell a lot. When I can, I use a friends unlimited cell. When I'm by myself, I use my pre-paid tmobile to go phone. New cheapy tmobile-to-go phone $40. After you buy $100 worth of 10 cent minutes, your minutes take a year to expire. I roughly buy more minutes at the rate of one $100 card per year (less than $10 per month). I do not waste minutes with texting. If for some reason I need a new phone, I'm out forty bucks. If I'm in trouble, I can make a call.
Hmmm, the way I see it you're out $100 per year (not counting the $40 for the phone) if you don't use it. It's nice that they don't expire for a year though.

I'd prefer the old days when pay telephones were still available, and at every gasoline station and convenience store. Even if a call cost a dollar, that's a hellovalot cheaper than $100 for 17 hours of talk time I'll never use.

Due to cells, pay phones are nearly extinct. To me, it is sad.

Two years ago, the company I'm employed by gave us a pay cut. Over the two years, I estimate my gross income was cut by $8,000 to 9,000 dollars. Surprisingly, in the past two years I haven't been able to take vacations as I did previously. The CEOs, however, don't seem to have had any impact whatsoever on their lifestyle.

I just thought of another one. People who use the term "gay" when they mean to say "stupid".

Sorry, but I do that. I refuse to let liberal guilt dictate my vocabulary. I consider political correctness to be the one thing that is killing our culture. I do use the term "gay" when I mean "Stupid" or "lame." I also support the rights of homosexuals who want to marry. Go figure. Nobody will ever tell me what I can and cannot say. However, I was also brought up with a sense of decorum and propriety.

"There are no bad words, Bad thoughts. Bad intentions. And woooords." - George Carlin

And now my turn again:

Poor people suck!

Well, not really. But there are certain economically disadvantaged people who have no sense of... well, for lack of a better word, manners! Three or four times today, people have come though my checkout with an entire cart full of groceries. Once I start checking them out, then they inform me "I can't go over $80."

Okay, so why did you put $150 worth of groceries in your cart?"

I've touched on this before. And I myself am pretty poor most of the time. It's called a list and a calculator people. Many a time I would take my list through the store adding up as I went along. When I got to the checkout, I was pretty close. Okay, so maybe I had to have the cashier take off the bread, or the green peppers, but not 63 items. And of course most of those items are refrigerated/frozen which means that I have to have a bagger go and put them back while they are still cold. Which further means that while they are gone on this mission, I will have to bag my own orders and the people in line will have to wait even longer than before.

People suck!

Cars.... cars piss me off to no end. I can't afford to fix my car. I can't afford to buy a car. I can't afford the taxi ride to work. I hate depending on someone else to bring me where I need to go. I am NOT going to work 2 jobs. I despise working the one I have right now.

I can relate. I got so sick of my cars breaking down and not having job that paid decently enough for me to fix them. So, that's why I am currently enrolled in college and majoring in "Automotive Engineering." I figure that's the best way to kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

How on Earth did gay morph from 'happy', to 'homosexual', to 'stupid'?

You seem to be saying that we can attach any meaning whatsoever we wish to any words we chose to attach them to. If that's the case, that words have no actual worth, no real definition ... how the hell are we supposed to communicate?
How the hell does GAY mean STUPID? And what the frack has the smearing of definitions got to do with your delusional perception of "liberal" (whatever you mean by THAT word) imposition upon your freedom of expression? OMG, excuse the rant, but the .......ization of the language really, really pisses me off.

PS. Is this use of the word gay, perhaps, somewhat tied to homophobia as a root? Just a thought.

That's one of the two main reasons I got a cell phone. The other is the fact that I never hooked up a land line when I bought my house.

And here I thought I had it bad not having any salary increase for 3 years. Not ONLY did you get a pay cut, but our salaries are also decreasing by pure inflation alone. We may be getting paid the same (or less in your case) but everything we buy costs more for the same amount, so in effect, we get paid less each year. That is why companies that care give annual salary raises, even if it is only one to three percent (otherwise known as "cost of living increase").

No one is telling you what you can and cannot say. It's your choice. If you choose to use a term in an offensive and derogatory manner, then that's the choice you make. If you don't think using the word "gay" to mean stupid is not offensive, just find a gay person and ask them how they feel about it. Then make your choice based on that.

It's worse than that in my case. I had been stomping my feet for what I felt was an overdue and very deserved RAISE, when they gave us the pay cut. And, to add insult to injury, two months before the cut I bought a new car and committed myself to $20K, believing (incorrectly) that I was likely to get that long overdue pay raise. No warning, BAM! You're screwed.

I had a reply all set. It was well written and I think made a few good points. But I don't think I'm going to post it. Because there is a much bigger issue here. We as a society have been trained to be offended. We scrutinize what people write and the speeches that they give. We go over everything with a fine toothed comb waiting and ultimately wanting to be offended. We are so obsessed with it that we've ultimately convinced ourselves that we have a right not to be offended. It is truly perverse. And once we find a word or phrase that we've been trained to find offensive we explode. "FOR SHAME!" "How dare he say that!" "How dare she think that!" Then we take turns congratulating one another over how we're so far above that way of thinking and how enlightened we are.

That whole mindset truly makes me want to vomit.

@NCC The word "..." or "......" has been used to mean "a bundle of sticks", a cigarette, a pejorative term for the elderly and more recently as a slur against homosexuals. Fat used to mean obese. Then came Phat. Anything that was no good was bad, until we saw the "baddest" sports car. My point is the English language is diverse and has been changing since it's inception. Want proof? Try reading Geoffrey Chaucer's "Canterbury Tales" in the original Old English. These words will be around for hundreds of years after you and I have gone the way of the Dodo. And I will lay even money on the fact that they won't mean then what they mean now. There are only so many different consonants and vowels that you can put together.

I have nothing but empathy for you as far as your employment situation goes. This economy and the decisions of management have literally torn my family apart. I truly hope things get better for you.

I have to agree with you firefox people seem to lay in wait to be offended by ANYTHING and everything.

Dope mean good
stupid means good
sick means good

Its all ......ed, OMG yes I just used the word ......ed. As many on here know I have an autistic son and when he was diagnosed my friends and family went stupid, ......ed or tard is just a way to describe something that is rediculous. In my area its used alot esp when growing up. For a few years someone would say the word ......ed around me and then get all embarassed and upset that they offended me. Seriously!? It's gotten crazy.

The only thing I'll apologize about is that I'm truly am sorry you felt offended but take a step back and realize not everything is about you. It's not personal.

Being PC has been pushed way to far. Words like these are just a way of expression, there is no reason for anyone to get offended by them.

I considered doing the same thing, for automotive engineering, but it's not something I have a passion for, so I can't see myself spending the time in school learning it, then making the rest of my life devoted to it because that's all I've got. As much as I would love to have the knowledge needed to fix it and do it myself.

I'm well aware of the ever changing meaning of words and languages and how sometimes people are too easily offended. However in this case we all know what we're talking about. Very little room for misunderstanding no matter how many old meanings of words you want to bring up. Like I said, it's your choice. I choose not to use the word "gay" to mean stupid because it doesn't mean that, and it makes me look immature if I do. You make your own choice on the subject. How do you want to be perceived by others?

There is a portion of this post that is eerily ironic.

I'm not misguided or hateful or frigid or funny looking or a chauvinist.

I always stay out of everyones way when I am driving.

I'm never arrogant and always listen to what people tell me.

I CAN :censored:

I'm not incompetent. If you ask me to do something I'll either say NO or I CAN'T or agree and do it right.

Have to look it as .. what is what I am doing worth .. rather than .. what are they paying me
If you're sure you're worth $xxx,000 ... someone else will pay you that if the idiots screw you
Be marketable

There have been several people I would have made a-lot of money for who thought they could pay me $xxxx per month or $xx per hour .. problem for them was I wasn't going to make them tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands for xxxx or xx .. %$ them

@THE: The simple fact of the matter is, I live in an area which is infamous for its wider than norm gap between the wealthy and the masses. If someone is making $xx/hour here, they can move almost anywhere else (including 100 miles down the road) and increase their income to at least 1.5X$XX/hour doing the exact same thing with the exact degree of skill and experience. But, it's a trap. Because your income is so substandard, it is difficult to set aside the funds to actually make that move ... i.e., to escape. There are lots of well-to-do folks here, and they squeak when they walk. I have plans to escape. But, it is much more of a challenge now than it was when I was young and could just pick up and leave, empty handed, on an adventure.

Anyway, I have over 20 years under my belt in my profession. I am perfectly aware that the same exact job, with my qualifications, pays double what I'm making ... almost everywhere else. I failed to mention that every employee of the company got the same pay reduction. Perhaps if you thought I had been singled out, maybe that's why you felt you had to question my worth.

Frankly, I'm not concerned with how others perceive me. There was a time when I was, but people who want to take the time to know me personally know that I am a very warm and caring individual. I'm sorry that I don't use your approved vocabulary. People who rush to judgement about me, frankly I just don't have time for.

I created a Facebook account a LONG time ago, using a pseudonym which I've only given to a few close friends. I'm just not a Facebook kinda person, so I go months and months between even signing in.

Tonight (this morning) I had reason to want to sign in. I gave the correct id & password, then was presented with,
Confirm Your Identity

To continue, we need you to provide your phone number. This quick security check helps keep Facebook a community of real people who connect and share using their real identities.
Confirm your identity by adding a mobile number to your account

Add your phone

Please click the button below to continue.
(Or use a different verification method)
Well, I don't have, nor have I ever had a cell phone. So, I clicked the link that says, "or use a different verification method" ... which simply reloaded the page, with no other option given. I would have reluctantly given my land line, but that option wasn't given.

What I seem to have learned tonight is, that if, for whatever reason triggers their need for ID verification ... you don't have a cell phone, you can't use Facebook. Amazing how far we've come! :-x

Screw Facebook, I never liked you anyway.

I never wanted one either. But I kinda had to get one. My band has a facebook page, so I needed to get one so I could join the page yadda-yadda-yadda. Wouldn't be so bad except I had more time invested than I wanted to in myspace. I wonder what new networking fad will replace facebook?

Pot Pies. Convenient as a part of a quick meal, or just a snack by itself.

Am I the only one who thinks it's odd that you can't buy anything BUT white meat chicken pot pies? Also true for other prepared chicken dishes. Who made the decision that everybody only wants white meat chicken? ( a complaint a day, lol)

On the other hand, the Deli has some great fresh baked pot pies which are an exception.
