I have no problem with minors vaping if the alternative was them smoking i do have a problem with people vaping because they think it's the "cool" thing to do as like it or not too many do that and it's a big ol case of ammo for those looking to hammer vaping. As for the video it's gone but if it was as it sounds done by someone with a good knowledge of what they are doing and they could sway other young un's from smoking I'd have to support it. In an ideal world there would be no smoking or vaping but in the real world many of us started smoking when we were minors and it became a habit some of us took decades to break if minors doing vaping vids can change that I think we're being hypocritical opposing it.

Good post.

Though, consider the possible hypocrisy of disallowing "because it's cool" as reasoning for a minor to start vaping.

I find it odd that we'd rather them start smoking "because it's cool" and use vaping to quit when they're likely either at a very low level of addiction or not addicted yet.

As if adding the more harmful step is the only way to make it a harm reduction strategy.

I propose that eliminating the more harmful step in the cycle may aid in the harm reduction and possibly nearly eliminate the chances for addiction altogether.

Not that I want my kids doing stupid, potentially less healthy (or even harmful) things "because it's cool". Though, being a 24 yr, ex 4 pad smoker... who am I to pass judegement.

I thought I was "Cool" when I was young, too. Look where that got me (us).

I agree 100% with the idea you propose. But considering that vaping is considered an adult behavior by society at large, and even amongst a good number of our own, this idea will be almost impossible to gain any widespread popularity without the acceptance and support from the medical community, CDC, educators, and press. In our current climate, I see that as highly improbable.

The problem here is reality vs. agendas.

I did see the video and I have to wonder where a kid his age is getting all his money and why is he spending it on vaping. When I was young, all my money was saved up to get my first car, and I don't mean a new car. And that took me until I was 18 and any money I could come up with after that went towards gas, upkeep, and insurance. It doesn't appear the kid has wanted for anything. How times have changed!
