Completely Disgusted By A Vapor Review Video I Just Saw (Your Thoughts)

There was a "kid" in the vape shop the other day. I assumed that he might be someone's kid waiting to be picked up after school or something, as the vape shop is right downtown and near a private school. I was surprised to see him in there, as they are pretty strict about the 18+ rule. Looking at him, I figured he was maybe 12 or 13. I was even more surprised when he pulled out a mod and started vaping, and I straight up asked him how old he was.

HE WAS 20. And yes, I made him show me his ID.

Ummm, so then other kids start doing vape video's, and more and more we start seeing 12 ish year olds posting vaping vids, and how do ya' think that's going to play out in Joe and Jane Q publics opinion on vaping! This kid looked about 12-14 years old, great ammo for the big hammer about to fall.

Because if he is underage job or not because a minor can have a job at 15/16 and the FDA sees more videos and things like this happening then what do you think is going to happen in the vape community. Everything hangs on the Food and Drug Administration's newly proposed plan for how it will regulate the emerging industry. If the FDA rules stand, the restrictions could wind up choking small vape businesses and clear the path for big tobacco firms poised to cash in on the trend.

FDA's proposed deeming regulation would ban >99.9% of the tens of thousands of e-cigarette products currently on the market (including all e-liquid and all mods) two years after issuance of the Final Rule. If the Final Rule is issued (and not blocked by the next President, who will be blamed for it), several thousand e-cig manufacturers in the US (including importers, e-cig component manufacturers, and all vendors who mix/sell e-liquid) will either go out of business or go to underground black markets.

As other posters have said, I don't need people like the reviewer in the video adding more fuel to the fire

You seem to think the hammer isn't already going to fall. You know why this "kid" vaping bothers you so much? Because they told you it should, because you believe that nicotine is as addictive as H-Other Stuff, and you believe somewhere deep down, that vaping(since it looks like smoking) has to be at least somewhat bad for you.

This whole line of thought is akin to "Don't vape where smoking isn't allowed, because then they'll ban vaping in those places." Guess what, if you ban yourself from vaping, they've already won.

I don't think they need help, they seem to be doing a good job adding fuel to the fire themselves. I think we need to focus more on educating the masses than freaking out over things like this.
EXACTLY!

Oh no, there's a "kid" vaping! So what? What demonstrable harm is he doing to himself? Would you feel the same if he were in the video riding a bike without a helmet? Perhaps drinking from a red plastic cup?

So far, nearly all the proposed vaping regulations have save the children tied to them, and not just prohibiting vaping where smoking is prohibited...

Imagine how shaky they would be if we took that away from them, if we could actually get people to believe that vaping is no more harmful than drinking a soda.

That's never going to happen. Emotional appeals generally outweigh common sense and science... Drinking soda isn't healthy at all, either...

Unfortunately, I think you're right, which is why they're winning.

Not arguing against this, but as compared to what? Drinking tap water? Most Americans have no problem giving their children soda, at least occasionally.

Vaping came too late- after smoking had become taboo...

I recently saw a video in which someone poured a can of soda in a sauce pan and heated it to the point the liquid evaporated off and what was left was sugary sludge...That's one of the reasons why we are an obese nation...

I've actually done a coke glazed ham, it's pretty good.

I doubt people will ever change their mind about smoking, but I have to believe it's not too late for vaping. Seriously, vaping remotely resembles smoking, visually, and can contain nicotine. That is the extent of their connection, other than that some people choose one as an occasional or full time alternative to the other.

Because it works all you have to do is throw out child welfare and if you argue against you look like a bad guy.

Children and e-cigs should be a non-issue from what I just dug up a second ago.

Albuterol Sulfate Syrup for oral administration contains 2 mg of albuterol as 2.4 mg of albuterol sulfate in each teaspoonful (5 mL). Albuterol Sulfate Syrup also contains the inactive ingredients citric acid, FD&C Yellow #6, flavor enhancer, hypromellose, propylene glycol, purified water, sodium benzoate, sodium citrate, strawberry flavor. Sodium hydroxide may be added to adjust pH.

Source: ALBUTEROL SULFATE SYRUPFORM NO. 0825

The bolding is my emphasis on ingredients a lot of us have a lot of questions about. This medication is given to children all the time. I had to use this stuff daily, sometimes multiple times a day for years. Only difference here is there's no nic in it, and it has a bunch more ingredients.

I think you said it best in the bolded text...

I havent found the video and im late to the discussion.

I would rather see/watch a child of any age, review a vaping hardware vs reviewing analongs or a {Moderated}.

You can argue and discuss till the end of time what this 12 year old is doing, but, at the end of day you have NO control over his life and never will. So i would rather see him promote a healthy alternative vs promoting cancer sticks.

The way i see it, he helped at least 100 kids to stay away from analogs and turned them towards a healthier alternative. Because at the end of the day, kids will either smoke analongs or vape. Which router would you want them to take?

Obviously they need to come out with the Soylent Green pretty soon, 'cause by now they've shown that everything else is cancerstuff.
There is a guy that came out with a nutrient mix he lives almost completely off of and he calls soylent.

Though it's obviously not exactly the same thing.

I prefer the red anyhow...
