Ok well I just gave up conventional cigarettes using an E-lites electronic cigarette, it was cheap at £20 and came with a fair few refills. However it has now broken and I see what shoddy quality this thing is after just 1 week.

I don't understand all this different terminology such as carts, dripping .etc that I keep seeing but what I do want to know is what should I buy now?

What I am looking for is something that doesn't run out too fast, can be charged via USB, with liquid that lasts a good amount of time and I am also interested in different flavours. Oh and I am in the UK btw.

So vapors where do I begin and what do I need to know to get started? I wan't something excellent quality but not looking to spend more than £60-70 unless you can persuade me it is really worth it, that will help me stay off the naughties (8 days so far). Your advice is much appreciated.

Is it alright if its slightly larger than a cig? Think the size of a sharpie marker. You really cant have "something that doesn't run out too fast" as a cig sized device.

Id recommend going to liberty-flights.co.uk and picking up:
Riva 510 lite kit - £29.99
A 510 driptip of your choice - Less than £2
A five pack (or more) Boge LR (2.0 ohm) cartomizers - £6.49 per pack of 5

This setup lets you try cartomizers and dripping onto the atomizer (kit also includes cartridges but cartridges suck and noone really uses them)

This setup will be well beyond the performance of a cig sized device.

As for juice IDK what to recommend to a UK vaper, but I'm sure someone will be able to help. LF sells juice but I'm wary about juice from hardware vendors, companies that specialize in juice tend to have much better juice (go figure).

JANTY eGo Tank USB XL eGo SET - 510-T - Janty eGo Sets - Janty eGo

Would you say this is a good starting kit then and fairly priced?

Thanks reprisal only saw your post after this, will check them out. Im not so sure what dripping is and how much of a hassle it is do you have any info on this?

Not worried about size so much as I realise it needs to be bigger to last, I'd rather have a much nicer vaping experience than look like Im smoking a cigarette.

Hey Meaty, whichever ecig you decide on, you may want to take a peek at Liberty-Flights.com website. They have a UK site as well as a US site. Prices are unbeatable and customer service is excellent. They are a trusted vendor here on the ECF forum. The Riva Special Edition 510 is a very popular model around here and i recommend it to my friends who are just starting out. Just my humble 2 cent opinion. :)

Thanks guys got the following on order from LF, I decided to start with some liquid from there because I want them all to arrive at the same time so I can start straight away (I have nothing but willpower keeping me going now my old one broke).

XO (Suprême) - PG - 30ML - 36MG x 2
Boge 510 Cartomizer 2.0 Ohm (Steel) - 5 Pack x2
Riva 510 Steel Riva 510 - SE Edition
Drip Tips 510/901 Anodized Type 01 - (C) Silver x1

Hope it serves me well, I'll let you know how it is.

Hello & welcome Meaty :)

Yes, what you have ordered will serve you well :D

If you do find the 36mg too high, you can cut it with glycerine - it will also cut the flavour though. You can buy a small bottle of glycerine from the baking section of most supermarkets for about 50p, or a 100 ml bottle from most chemists for about £1.

:) I hope it is not too much, I haven't used any juice apart from the crud that comes inside e-lites cartomizer. I did used to smoke regular strength cigarettes and have some serious cravings right now with no release so that kind of affected me going as much as I could. What's the main difference as you go up, is it an increase in throat hit?

Thanks chrissie I will keep that in mind. im dying for my vape now. I envy you who can vape while reading this!

Also I found a load of information on dripping but nothing on knowing when to redrip except that if you let it run dry it will burn out, just interested to know how much people drip and how often they refill.

Meaty, you really will find a big difference with the Riva to you e-lite :)

You Riva from LF will come with a couple of atomisers & some dry cartridges. Fill the dry cartridges with juice untill the wadding is just nice & moist but not too wet - plus add a drop of juice to the atomise itself from the cartidge end.

With the boge cartomisers you have ordered, initially fill them via the condom method -
A double demo! The Cartomizer Condom Filling Method, and the Taryn Spin. - YouTube
then remove the white bung & push in a drip tip & just keep topping up with a few drops of juice roughly about the same time you would light a real cig :) Lol, hope that makes sense :D

I'm sure they will switch it for you Meaty :) If not go for my glycerine suggestion (it's the base used in VG e-liquids) it's cheap as chips to buy & always worth having a bottle in. The higher VG (glycerine) content of the e-liquid, the more vapour you get :D
