Just started vaping recently and went to a local store. They mix the liquid in the back so I'm unaware of all that went into it I just know that two of my liquids are clear and the other two have a slight pinkish almost brownish tint to them. Also, for whatever reason they were all 70vg/30pg but one that has the pigment is 65vg/35vg. Anyone have any idea why? Is it safe to vape those?

VG and PG are usually clear, possibly with a slight yellow tint. It's the flavorings that add the color, and it can range from clear to dark brown and anything in between, including pink.

As for the different ratio on the one, most likely the recipe calls for more of a particular flavor that is pg based, so they can't actually get the ratio up to 70%.

Sounds reasonable, I was just expecting it to be a pre-packaged sort of deal and didn't anticipate them having to do it themselves. So when I get liquids that look different it sort of threw me off...

and lol^
There are shops that mix their own liquids, and some that only sell commercial stuff. Some that carry a "house" brand actually just have something labeled with their logo, and it's usually something commercially available for wholesale.

Some people don't trust a shop to mix their liquids, some do. To me, if the shop looks clean in the front, no reason to think it wouldn't be in the back. Honestly, mixing e-liquid is a bit like mixing a drink, just perhaps with more careful measurement. It doesn't really take any specialized equipment, and as long as their mixing equipment is clean(if they don't just pour directly into the bottle), I'm not sure what anyone would be concerned about.

Most shops I've seen are cleaner than many fast food kitchens I have seen.

That doesn't surprise me. My husband used to work in restaurants and he said at one of them, which was actually a very expensive upscale place, the kitchen guys used to dust their balls with the corn starch. True story.

My local vape shop sent me an email telling me that I had a free 15ml bottle of ejuice for my birthday. When I went in, I expected to pick out whatever they had (I usually get the Space Jam - Pluto from them) they told me I had to get what they mix. I sampled several of the flavors, none which I found very impressive. After I finally picked one, went home. loaded my tank, took a few puffs and dumped the rest. It was awful. Sorry.... went off topic for a bit. And BTW, **I had to laugh at Hopefully they did not mix a big batch in a bathtub in the back room***

And to answer your original question...... like others have said, the color is ok depending on what sort of flavor you have. I have some that are dark pink and some that are lighter (I tend to stick to the fruity flavors).

Vape on!
