On manufacturer site there is:
kr808....3 piece
kr808d... 2piece
kr808d-1
kr808d-2
kr808d-1p
kr7 something that is slimmer
And so on and so forth... So annoing.... Doesn't say wich is compatible with what... I'm not gonna blow the bank trying the lot.. like my d-1(exept yes the autos are a bit annoing....)

I was confused by this too when I was starting out (as you can see earlier in this thread), but what I eventually figured out is that in reality, whenever anyone says "kr808", "kr8", "808" etc etc, they're referring to kr808d-1. The E9 may technically be referred to as kr808d-2, on some manufacturers spec sheet somewhere, but nobody actually calls it that in the real world, they just call it E9 (or the various brand names its retailed under). So you don't really need to worry about compatibility - in practice, anything that's advertised with any variant of 808 in its name is gonna be compatible with your kr808d-1

i wouldnt want a small one. there is no point in getting one that looks like a cigarette in my opinion. you lose all performance and then you're left with a novelty toy. So if you want a toy then go for it. But if youre looking for a useful tool you just have to get something bigger.
Well whoopie...
Exactly why I wrote in this thread in the first place. ..Its because of posts like yours that I wasted alot of money on bigger devices that did NOT meet my needs.. Every time some one askes about smaller devices, along comes the "mod squad", telling everybody they should get a big device.. When I started out, it was very hard to get answers . My q's were ignored and instead I was told about the ego or something bigger. Don't get it.. Why must small device threads be spammed by people that don't like them? Makes every thread about small vs big..
I don't go to the pipe forum, and tell everyone its silly to get a pipe..

Michelle, you beat me to it - I was about to say basically the same thing, only without the catchy "mod squad" turn of phrase - I'll be sure to remember that one for the future.

Sandyislucky, you're not helping anyone out with these kinds of posts... they're boring and repetitive, especially when a thread's OP has specifically made it clear that they're interested only in smaller devices. The fact is, for many people a larger device is simply not an option. And for many people, smaller devices work perfectly well. Tacking a "modz r00l" onto the end of every thread just gets annoying.

kodos,
Try wrapping a piece of scotch tape around the carto/battery junction. See if that improves the draw. I can tell the difference with just my finger around it. I believe mistress shows the tape in one of her videos.

Actually, now that I've gotten used to my 808, I think the draw is perfect as it is... when I try going back to my old E9 I can't stand how heavy the draw is.

I started with the mall rip-off RN4081 then found ECF. After reading so much about the 510's I got one and it was an improvement. Then I just HAD to jump on the EGO bandwagon as SOOOOO many people here say it's the ONLY way to go. So I bought one. Then a RIVA, then a KR808D-1 as MistressNomad who did the videos for beginners on here said she used and liked better than a 510. Then I found V4L and saw ALL the awesome colors and flavors and have been with them ever since. Don't believe everything everyone tells you about bigger is BETTER and that pre-filled cartos suck!! I wish I had found V4L before I spent hundreds on everything everyone else recommended here. Oh, and dripping?? Tried that too and it's such a PITA! I like constant flavor for a long length of time with no burnt taste after 3 or 4 draws and no need to refill and V4L does that for me! I like many others had to live and learn! I totally agree with Michelle and Kodos - you will find that there is a BIG EGO cult here on ECF! LOL! If that works for them then great! I have one and may use it someday (if one of my 808's die!).

Happy Vaping!

Its so annoing all these variations of basically the same model... sigh... I like the ease of the draw on the d-1. Glad to hear you got use to it..

I know when people refer to kr8 its allways the d-1, but will it stay that way? How long have the others been on the market? I was under the impression, that they were some sort of upgrades..
Toby from ivapour told me he was trying to switch to Smoore type 808, but twas not compatible with Kanger. Airholes are switched so smoore cartos will not work on Kanger batts, but Kanger cartos can work on smoore batts. So he's going over to Boge now....
The point is I know that because I asked. Not because it was posted on the site..
So everytime you find something you would like to buy, its best to write to the vendor first, to check what manufacturer they use.... And that is really annoing, cus most vendors aren't as quick to reply as Toby.
Some places, even up to a week before you get an answer....
