Well, honestly, I'd go with a higher rating for the improved battery life, it draws less amps off the battery to crank a 2.5 ohm coil up to 4.5 volts than it does to to run a 1.8 ohm coil at 3.8 volts, but both of these will give you an 8 watt vape, which is what really matters. I mean, a 3.6 ohm coil would still hit 10 watts at 6 volts, which may be too hot for some people. Honestly, low resistance attomizers/heads are for fixed voltage devices, not variable volts where you can just crank it up higher for less battery cost.
Oh? So higher would be better in this one, shame the higher ones are out of stock....maybe I should look elsewhere for them.
One other thing, regarding his quitting and taking up vaping. When I did it, I thought I'd give it a try to see how it went but made a commitment to give it an honest shot. I wasn't disappointed. However he should understand, it is not going to give him the same "kick" that cigarettes do. It doesn't have all of those other chemicals that enhance the nicotine hit that cigarettes have in them. It does calm the nicotine craving and does so good enough to start realizing some of the health benefits of switching. There's a learning curve to it, but it's well worth the effort. I would advise whatever you buy, try to keep it simple and of good quality or it will become too frustrating to stick with.
Yeah hopefully this isn't to complicated, a bit worried about that haha. Health wise this seems much better....then smoking for sure, gonna grab some organic liquids from Virgin Vapor I think...hopefully they taste alright.
From what I understand, the Protank (PT) 3 Mini uses the dual coil heads that the Aerotank uses. I've used the heads from the Protank 2 in the Aerotank, but you have to add and invert a silicone washer or it will leak. I really couldn't recommend the PT3 Mini for someone starting out. The Kanger EVOD or the PT2 Mini are absolutely great clearomizers to start with, and paired with either the Ego C-Twist or the Itaste VV V3, it makes a great combination for home or out and about. I have both and use them with the PT2 Mini for 90% of my vaping. They're portable, trouble free for the most part and the heads are reasonably priced if you don't want to bother with rebuilding them. (I'm using one now as I type this.)
This is the PT2 Mini on an Ego C-Twist 1000 mAh battery.

The Kanger EVOD or the PT2 Mini would be better? I will look into them also, 101vape doesn't seem to have them.
The PT3 Mini will leak? Bummer....101vape carries that one.
