Why and when to dry burn?

After a period of use the coil will form a carbon like deposit on it, so won't burn so efficiently. Dry burning overheats this carbon which burns it off, thus leaving you with a clean coil. Do a 5-10 second dry burn a couple/few times until the coil glows red evenly, then taste the difference once juiced up again. It won't last as long as a new coil cos it can't rejuvenate the wick, but it'll be much better than not dry burning it.

Seriously, ya don't need to clean/dry burn clearo heads if ya replace 'em. Now... if you're concerned 'bout saving da planet and saving sum coin, we can assist ya in extending your coils' life span!

When I start getting a burnt taste, I just remove atomizer head and replace it with new head and wicks. Do I need to be doing this. It seems like I can just rinse the wicks and then do a dry burn and reuse. I am confused? Why and when to dry burn?

You don't have to Dry Burn if you don't want to. Nothing wrong with just Replacing the Head and throwing the Old one Away.

But there are some people who use Clearos or Attys where you Can't replace the Head. So Dry Burning is sometimes a Cleaning of Last Resort.

And then there are also People like me. Who if they can Dry Burn a Coil/Wick and make it last another week or So, they'll do it.

I guess I could just Toss the CE2 I'm using right now when it gets Gunked Up and Rinsing doesn't work anymore. I have about 220 on hand. So I'm not Exactly hurting for Clearos. But I like to get as many Miles out of a Clearo as I can.

It also gives me something to do when I'm not on the ECF.
