Sorry for the repost. Posted this accidently in the e-liquid section but can't work out how to move it :( So I'm posting it here instead.

Hey everyone, was hoping I can get some help regarding E-Cigs as I’m getting a little bit confused. I’ve been using these for a couple months or so now and so far have only used one company (Liberty Flights) and I’m very happy with them. The first device I bought was the DSE901 and then later I also got the Ego-T for the longer battery life and tank facility.

I now want to purchase another E-Cig that looks like a real one and the DSE1** range seems like the right choice. I’m looking at purchasing directly from China or America because of the cheaper price, but where I’m getting confused is from these different model number..

My questions are, are the DSE101/DSE103 and DSE108 the same thing? If not, then what are the differences?

Was also wondering if this PCC "http://www.somybox.com/portable-charging-case-pcc-ecigarette-with-lcd-display-m402s_p579.html" would work with a DSE108?

Thank in advanced for any help

Well I can tell you if you wander away from the suppliers listed on this forum you could get royally screwed with no recourse. If you really must step down to a mini-ecig check out Intellicig or MyPVshop has the M401 style, they also carry PCC's. If you go with a googled place you could end up with stuff that won't match anything else on the market but there's, they do that trying to keep you buying they're stuff and no one else's. You can also check out Volt or Modern Vapor and see if you like what they have.

Curious why you want it to look like a real cigarette? Especially since smoking is banned, and in most instances, vaping is allowed and an e-cig that looks like you're smoking will only get negative attention. If you do get a super mini, you might want to consider the LED color... blue is much better than a glowing red.

Also... Your 901 is cigarette size, what about it isn't working for you?

Super mini (RN 4081) are what you'll find sold at most mall kiosks and tobacco shops. These small e-cigs don't work very well, vapor is poor due to the quick drop off of the small batteries and dripping with them is recommended rather than trying to use the cartridges (purchase drip tips for these models for best results). Members usually quickly switch over to another mini (such as the 901, 306, 401 or 510) after buying one of these little superminis and find them a waste of their money. I have some sitting gathering dust from almost 3 years ago.

A better choice (if you must go with a supermini) would be a DSE 103 starter kit with a PCC which can be found here DSE103 PCC Electronic Cigarette
Mini e cigarette- BE103/DSE103 mini e-cigarette
You won't find many suppliers with this model however, which can make spare atomizers and batteries expensive and tough to find. Even Heavensgifts in China doesn't carry kits anymore and only has spare parts (when a Chinese distributor doesn't carry starter kits for something, that says volumes).

IMHO, a 510 or 306 (atomziers are compatible with each other) with a shortie battery is the best of the small e-cigs that mimic ciggies in size with good atomizers. They work really well, except for battery life. That can be helped a bit though if you carry a PCC around with it. Finding them in colors that mimic a cigarette are a bit harder to find though. Here are a few good vendors to check out:

Thanks for the responses, but I've already tried searching as this just confuses me more! I apologise in advance for the barrage of questions I'm about to ask, but hopefully this will help someone in a similar situation to me. Is the M401 style you mention the same as the DSE 103? And are you suggesting the link to the PCC link I posted is likely to be different and not be compatible with the DSE 103 model.

This thread "http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-smoking-discussion/1000-truth-mini-e-cigarettes.html" has been my main point of reference so far but has also managed to confuse me more. I'm wondering if the DSE 103 which is spoken about is the size or a real cigarette? This with a similar performance to the DSE 901, which I currently have, would be ideal. I'm also unsure in how this DSE 103 differs from the DSE 108, which Liberty Flights offer. My presumption is that the one Liberty Flights offer is an updated version of the DSE 103. I like Liberty Flights as a company and would definitely want to purchase it off there if it wasn't for them using Blue LEDs. Unfortunately this, for me, is a dealbreaker.

So, to some this up, what I'm basically asking is how the DSE 103 differs from the DSE 108 Liberty Flights offers? And if it is possible to purchase the better of the two from a reliable manufacturer that also has an Orange LED. Also, would it be possible to find compatible PCCs for it?

Sorry for all the questions :) But would greatly appreciate any help!

Thank you for your post. I hadn't seem it until I posted mine! The reason why I want one that looks like a real ciggy is because I already have the Ego-T for casual use and for home, work etc. Same goes for the DSE 901. The problem is when I go out I'd like to be able to go outside with friends and smoke and not stand out. Also when I go to clubs it's a lot less hassle not having to explain to some ..... bouncer what it is and also I don't particularly want to stand out from everyone else in the smoking areas. The DSE 901 does look more like a ciggy but it is still a fair bit bigger and wider. The thread I read seemed to suggest the DSE 103 was similar performance wise to the 901 but looked like a real cig (thinner and shorter).
This would be ideal, but I'm now sceptical if stocks of this model are dimishing. Suggests to me it couldn't be that good or even close to the 901!

Is the DSE 108 Liberty Flights offer the same thing as the 103?

Looks like I may consider the Joye instead if you think it's better than the 103.. How does it compare to the 901 (So I can make a comparison in my head of what to expect)

The smallest e-cigs are:
The Volt (a good recommendation by several in posts above) which is 220 mAh Regulated Battery in the 65mm short battery and 320 mAh in the 78 mm Regulated battery. It's as small as you can get and has a great mAh for the tiny size. It is a KR808D-1 model (uses cartomizers and the Volt cartos have a lower resistance ohm so you'll get good vapor), so like other KR808D-1 devices it delivers true 3.7v in a slim mini and the battery is regulated. Thing is, do you want to go with cartomizers, which have to be kept wet as not to burn and have a stiff learning curve since the filler burns if not kept wet? It doesn't appear that their cartos come in a tan and I'm not sure that other KR808D cartos are compatible. It can be found here: Smokeless Image E Cigarette | The Best Electronic Cigarette

This thread has some options for atomizers/cartomizers for the Volt http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/kr808d-1/216522-my-review-various-cartos-my-volt.html An adapter can be used for the small Volt batteries to enable you to use other atomizer and cartomizer models (808 to *** adapters such as found at GoodProphets for .99 PV Adapters you should be able to find a UK vendor for them. )

DSE084 (8084) at 84mm and a battery capacity of 180mAH

Joye306a at 98mm and 150mAh battery capacity.

M403 at 86mm long and 100mAh battery capacity.

Your best vapor and battery run time is going to be with your current models or a Volt.

If I was out drinking, and had to use a minicig, I'd probably be bumming a cigarette before the evening is over with. You might just consider saving a few dollars and just tell everyone that gives you any grief about the e-cig that you'll outlive them all and to piss off.
:)

Now we'll wait for the mouse... LOL.

Haha thanks for your very informative post. I shall take my time in deciding but will definitely keep a close eye on the Volt. You say a minicig wouldn't be enough to satisfy you.. Are they really that bad and are you putting the Volt in the "minicig" category too? Also, are these minicigs (including the Volt) still worse than the 901 I currently have?

Checking in, and still no Mouse... so I'll continue on and maybe it will help some.

Model Specific Discussion
Do you see a forum for any of those little models? If there are a few listed, how many threads are there, and how old are they? There's a reason those aren't included much here on the forum. Lack of interest in ho-hum low mAh models. :) LOL

However... The Volt should be pretty great for the size (and is a relatively new model of the KR808). It's very small and has a terrific capacity, regulated voltage that won't drop off and the cartos get good reviews. I'd put it at the very top of the list for your wants, but you'll need to decide on the carto issue... since they're a bottom coil carto, I'd think they'd be wonderful (less chance of burning, but do keep them very wet). Check out these great review videos for positives and negatives:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...smokelessimage-volt-review-chainsaw-test.html

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...eview-contest-volt-e-cig-smokeless-image.html

You can buy it in the UK from http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ivapour-uk/223035-introducing-volt.html

Or... Enter the contest on ECF and try to get one for free! http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...m/216425-contest-smokelessimage-com-volt.html Free rocks! :headbang:

Since cartos are black with the Volt, you always could cover cartomizers with a tan skin (sticky contact paper/plastic thin sheets) or paper masking tape which is a tan color. Some also cover the cartos with shrink tubing (heat it and it conforms to the carto).

I have several standard e-cig battery models (RN4081, M401, KR808D, 510, 901, 801, 306, 302 and L88B (Blu) which was given to me, but was so bad I gave it away) and they are all gathering dust (but I do use the attys/cartos). I also have several variable voltage battery mods that I vape everywhere and could care less what it looks like :) LOL. Besides, for me that'd be like buying a a bicycle for transportation when I already have a Ferrari in the garage (Darwin). *grin* I don't want to look like I'm smoking when I'm strolling through a store or sitting in a bar. I also don't want to go stand outside with smokers when I vape cuz it looks like a ciggy (The Arizona sun's heat will melt your hair this time of year).

That said... If I HAD to choose a supermini or minicig, I'd definitely go with the Volt. The vapor is great (according to the video reviews). Maybe go with blank cartos though and fill them yourself with liquids you know you like. Should be as good as your 901. You may even like it better.

There is a Volt starter kit with one battery, charger and 5 cartos if you just want one to check out so you aren't out much if you decide it's not for you. Your other option is to just get the small volt batteries and a charger and find white 901 atomizers with tan tips or KR808 cartomizers (901 attys should work with it, but you might want to email the vendor to ask for sure about 901 compatibility, but generally they work with KR808 batteries).

Another option is to put a Wanted to Buy in the UK Classified forum for a kit http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/uk-classifieds/

Good luck! Let us know if you get something and how it compares?

Thank you for helping me get my head around all this. Basically the volt will probably be the next model I get. However, I've now decided to stick with the 901 a little while longer. Mainly because I'd have to get a PCC for the volt to be able to use it properly.

Those Cartomizers sound interesting though.. Am I right in thinking that you top these up with a couple MG or so of liquid, therefore stopping the need to constantly be topping up? And can then be reused after?
