Thank you for helping me get my head around all this. Basically the volt will probably be the next model I get. However, I've now decided to stick with the 901 a little while longer. Mainly because I'd have to get a PCC for the volt to be able to use it properly.

Those Cartomizers sound interesting though.. Am I right in thinking that you top these up with a couple MG or so of liquid, therefore stopping the need to constantly be topping up? And can then be reused after?

Right... The cartos will give you about 4 hours or so of heavy vaping time without topping off, so would be good if you were out with friends in a club. When the flavor drops off, you change to a new carto (easy to carry around with you). They can be refilled several times.

The Cartos sound really ideal then. Might wait a little while to see if any improved models come out soon. Might even look for a Cartomizer mod for my 901 in the meantime.

The Volt cartos get great reviews, are pretty cheap. Definitely worth trying out. Just by purchasing a few inexpensive adapters, you can give all your gear lots of options with them.

Cartomizers (KR808/Volt) on your 901 with this adapter 901 to KR808 adapter - G - Cloud 9 Vaping

510 style cartomizers (or atomizers) with this adapter on your 901 901 to 510 adapter - Cloud 9 Vaping

and KR808 or 901 atomizers on your Ego with this adapter 510 to 901/808 adapter (short) - Cloud 9 Vaping or regular size 510 to 901/808 adapter (silver) - Cloud 9 Vaping

I have a box full of adapters for most model conversions, and they've really come in handy. Cloud 9 also has assortment lots available for purchase.

Sounds like a pretty good idea! Will def try it out. Just wondering though, will the 901 batteries be able to handle the Volt cartomizers properly? And will the battery life be okay or significantly worse? I don't know much about the voltage requirements, etc. So curious to know if these cartomizers will work as good as they should on a 901 Battery.
Thanks :)

Yeah, all this ohm, mAh and resistance stuff can give you a headache. LOL

Well, the Volt cartos are 2.6ohms (the normal resistance of atomizer/cartomizers are between 2.5-3.0 ohms).

The volt batteries and KR808 stay at a constant 3.6v. Probably won't be as great with a 901 that is dropping off after charge (3.7v is what is claimed by the mfg. but according to tests as much as .6v lower at original charge and drops off quickly).

The mAh of the 901 battery isn't very high (about 130mAh), so you actually might want to consider eventually switching over batteries (Getting a Volt Kit or KR808 bats which have a higher mAh and KR808 runs at 3.7v at charge). Then you could always use your 901 attys on them and they should be really great with them, much better than stock 901 bats.

Ah I see.. I've got the PCC so the battery running out fast shouldnt be a big problem, but I'll eventually have to switch to the Volt batteries. Unfortunately that will involve getting a new PCC for it because I don't see the Volt batteries lasting that long when out. I seem to chain use them and pass it around to other people too so my 901 battery only lasts around half an hour or less of constant use! maybe an hour of moderate use. I'll try the Volt cartos with the 901 battery for a while but I get the impression it'll last about 15 mins :) haha

Volt is 9mm in diameter (according to the website, though in the forum I've seen it described as 9.2mm). The 901 is 9.3mm (according to the e-cig compatibility charts). Probably best to email the Smokeless Image website to get a confirmation that the cartos will be the same diameter as the 901 tube.

Adapters shouldn't be an issue.

I ordered the 901 to 808-D1 adapter from Liberty Flights and also ordered 3 packets of Cartomizers directly from SmokelessImage. Got the smooth sampler, sweet sampler and the strong sampler so I can try out most of the flavours. The Cartomizers might take a little while to get here as they're shipping from the USA, but I'm looking forward to trying these out. I was very close to also buying a Volt PCC and one Battery, but in the end I decided not to as I had already spent a lot of money on a 901 PCC and spare parts, etc :-(

Anyway, just want to say to you and everyone else, thank you so much for all your help as I was fairly confused as to what to get next, but now the more I read about the Volt the more I think I'll end up getting it as my next E-Cig. Will keep you updated on what I think of the Cartomizers, etc, and feel free to give me any tips which might come in handy.

Curious to know, will these batteries work with the Volt Cartomizers and will the KR808D PCC they sell here be compatable with the Volt batteries? Seem to be a fair bit cheaper ordering directly from China.

Also, will the 280mah battery on this site be the same size as the 220mah one offered by smokelessimage?

Thank you

I'm going to take a different approach, given the amount of money I recently spent on a 901 pcc, but now realising the Volt is much better.

I'm wondering if there is an adapter that can connect to the Volt battery which will allow it to be charged using a 901 USB charger and (hopefully) the 901 PCC? This would be ideal but somehow I'm thinking it is too good to be true :)

You can PM or email Toby from the site to ask about charging on the 901 or to see if they carry just the USB charger for the Volt. People report problems trying to use other chargers (center pin sometimes won't make contact when swapping models such as 901 or KR808, but you can try to use those chargers). Here is the thread where you can send him a PM http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ivapour-uk/223035-introducing-volt.html

They have a small kit that includes the USB charger (a few cartos and a battery... also called the Creator/Volt but same thing) Creator Turbo Compact Set - Creator/Volt Sets - Creator/Volt/Revolution

Ok thanks. Will ask and see what he says. My main concern is being able to use the 901 PCC.

By the way, I received the 901 to 808 adapter and the 901 atomizers appear to connect to it to perfectly which leads me to believe they use the same connectors. A little bit confusing, but maybe I don't know enough about how these adapters work.
