I have been using a Vision Spinner with the mini PT-all of it stock-with great success for the last month and it's great for a starter build for not much money.

But, once you get immersed on all the neat gadgets that there is out for vaping, reading the forums, watching YouTube vids, the plethora of juices, it now becomes a hobby other than vaping which most likely you'll want to try out different mods, mechs, juice, etc. It's fun and gets you out of the habit and routine of smoking analogs.

The eGo Spinner battery would be good for you. It has adjustable voltage settings to allow you to literally have "a volume control for your vapor". 2 ohms is a good value for the Spinner You can start off at the lower settings and work your way up as the atomizer coil breaks in and settles down to a little less efficient vape. Variable voltage allows you to compensate for that.

As everyone said, a little warmth on the steel bottom is normal as you vape. The head containing the heater coil is inside that part. Next time you fill it with juice, you will see a knurled tube on the inside of the bottom cap that you take off to add juice. That's the air tube that you rotate to unscrew the head. Changing the head is a simple matter of unscrewing that tube and replacing it all with a new head. That air tube is your handle for doing that. Then, all you do is screw the cap back on the bottom after filling the tank and vape.
