Hi everyone,
I've been vaping for about a week now (got the VK from vapor4life) and I notice that sometimes when vaping I get this weird "head congested" type feeling, kind of like when you're sick and you can't hear right (like your ears need to be popped or something). Has anyone else experienced this? Perhaps I'm getting sick right now and this is just a weird coincidence. Thanks for the help in advance!

It think every little sympton people seem to think it is related to vaping. If you visit Health section its just not possible for all of these symptoms to be caused from vaping. Where is the section that shows what improvement in health have occurred. Other than a slight headache and a little nausea I don't know how anything else could be related to vaping.

If everybody has this much trouble with vaping then maybe they should continue to smoke.

I had the same thing happen to me, it turned out to be a sinus infection, but not to say vaping instead of smoking did not contribute. I was coughing up alot of stuff from my lungs clearing and I assume that my sinuses were clearing up also. Its perfectly normal to think that problems that pop up are caused by something that you recently started.

You're probably inhaling too hard - pulling too hard - on your PV for too long. Try and eas up slightly or get a tiny bit higher nic level so you aren't sucking on it like a straw for the 'last bit of milkshake in the cup' feeling.
Try doing this without using hte the PV:
Push the back of your tongue against the back of your mouth where your sinus meets your throat and inhale. Its the same action you use when you vape btw. Now do it HARD - the insides of your ears should feel a bit 'poppy' / under pressure. You feel it more if there is mucus in your sinuses, its not necessarily an infection btw - its just mucus.
You might need to get your ears syringed but it could easily sort itself out once you stop vaping like a vacuum cleaner :)

Hi cpain! Yes, this happened to me just last week and posted it here. I don't know how to put in the link, but that post was on 3/9 and titled "Plugged Ear."

I was only a few days into a vaping and going at it like a siphon! I think that's what clogged up my ear. I've lightened up a bit since then and the ear is fine now, however, if I vape too much too fast, it clogs up again.

Like CaptJay said, not vaping like a vacuum cleaner may help a lot! :D

Are you using VG liquids? When I vape too much, it seems the VG (thicker than PG) will coat my sinuses and I get a sinus headache. It only occurs later in the day, after vaping for way too long. It's my warning signal that it's time to lay off the PV for a bit. It usually goes away after an hour or so, and only occurs when I have vaped too much, or have added too much VG (I love the thick vapour, so on occasion have added too much VG). It does not happen any more, as I have cut down on the amount of VG I use. That has seemed to fix this for me.

Martha: I wasn't trying to come across as a panicked doubter who was going to quit vaping and tell everyone how horrible it is just because of my issue, I honestly just wanted to know.

Jaded: That's a very good possiblity

Capt Jay: I think that's probably it, I'm going to order some higher nicotine carts next time too. I have noticed myself inhaling pretty hard and long (more so than an analog anyway)

Ciara: good to know it'll go away once i stop hoovering the PV haha

Jaybones- I just use the prefilled vk cartomizers for now although I will prob get into liquid soon enough, when I do I'll def take that advice

thanks everyone

I was fine and healthy vaping away at PG liquids for weeks. I then bought some VG only juice and liked the flavor and was vaping that exclusively for about a week when I got a bad cold which evolved into coughing/phlegm and a sinus infection, which brought about the ear popping/difficulty hearing etc. took me a couple days to finally get my ears to pop and my hearing returned to normal.
it could be a coincidence that I got sick when I switched to VG, I do not know. I still use VG only juice occasionally but (knock on wood) I've been healthy since I got rid of the sinus infection

I'd suggest getting a neti-pot at the drug store and cleansing your sinuses with saline, if you can't get rid of it after a week I'd get some antibiotics but I try to avoid them whenever possible so as not to build up resistant bacteria in my body
