Hey all. So I've been doing some research on the Reo Grand and I'm thinking about getting one but I have a few questions and need some advice first.

I know how it feeds juice into an atomizer and that I need one that supports bottom feeding. But as far as which atomizers to get to use with it I'm mostly clueless. So I basically need some recommendations of NON rba attys. Yeah I said it, NO rba.

Now before this turns into a debate on the benefits of using an RBA lets just go into why I dont want one. I don't like it. I just don't like having to build it myself. Call it being lazy if you want but I just do not like having to measure and cut everything and put it together. I'm not that good at it for starters and secondly I just don't want to do it. I'd rather screw something on and have it work than have to build it myself. Did I mention that I just don't want to mess with it? (lol).

Ok, now that's out of the way. What can I screw on this thing and slap a drip tip on that will work with the bottom feeding system?

You could always go for something like a Cisco LR 306. avidvaper.com has them and HH.357's. I keep an lr 306 in the car in case I'm out and don't have the time (yes, I know it takes less than a minute) to change out a coil. Screw it on, squonk and vape. You'll want to get a regular Reo for the catch cup if you go that route.

Will a non-rba even work on a reo? All of them I have ever used on seen get their airflow through the 510 connection. It seems to me that every time you went to feed juice it would come out of the airflow holes and make a big mess on the outside of the atty.

Yes they work. REOs have been around long before RDAs came into the picture.

If you want to use an RBA but not build coils, there is an option to use prebuilt coils. Just a thought.

Rebuildable Atomizer Coils - Avid Vaper

But if you're going to use standard attys Cisco's are some of the best IMO. We used them for a long time before switching to RBA's

The wife loved the 306's and I used 510's for the most part. Good flavor and seemed to last longer than the cheaper attys on the market.

All of cisco's atties +1

I was also a fan of the hh357 myself ( short barrel) whatever you get, get the lowest resistance you can. It's a mech mod, so even on a full up battery you're only getting 11 watts... That plus the ease of build in the RM2 are why most of us switch to rda's.

Good luck, and hope to see you in reoville soon!

There is a short learning curve to using a bottom-feeder,easy but a change from what you've been using.I tried to start out with disposable attys, but was having a hard time deciding how wet to keep them. For a week or so I used Boge LR cartomizers and once or twice a day I would try an atty, using a couple different ones until I developed a touch for how to do it.The great thing about a bottom-feeder is you can take the drip tip off and look down into the atty to see whats happening when you squonk.I also liked the cisco spec bridgeless 510 but the ones for sale on the reosmods site also work fine and are cheaper.
