Nic`d Up in Oklahoma!
You must love that sensation of gargling hot booze. People look at me like I'm not quite right in the head when I put 12mg in an rda

Ya, I did, LOL. But that was 20 years ago. :?) After recovery, I really thought I would smoke and drink coffee till the day I died. But time goes faster the older you get and quality of life goes down and money spent goes way up, it all conspired against my plans, LOL.

Still love me coffee, but I have cut that in half also.

Nope. According to one recent paper degree of absorption is about the same, and rather high.

Link? I'd be interested in reading that paper as it may contradict previous studies.

Ok, VG supplier already found! :)) What about the nicotine?! I did some digging and discovered that all plants in the family Solanaceae -- were revealed to contain measurable amounts of nicotine. So we can extract it from potatoes, tomatoes and eggplant... Why Government & Co do not ban them too. They do bear potential health risks!
Yesterday came across an article on the net: E-cigarettes contain dangerous "popcorn lung" chemicals statement made by some Harvard study. Saying a lot of bull.... but not showing any evidence of that, did any rat contract that disease? As far as I know e-cigarettes are 95% less harmful than smoking tobacco cigarettes and this is already smth that made be incline to the part choosing the evil less dangerous. ;)

When I smoke, I'll chain-smoke until my throat hurts. I dont necessarily FEEL anything from smoking (unless drinking/etc) but I do need my TH, regularly. As-far as my vaping habits go- I do chain-vape, but only occasionally. In fact, my intervals between each vape are MUCH longer than my intervals are between each cigarette, when I am smoking rather than vaping. When I DO vape with long intervals between vapes, I vape for a longer period of time than a cigarette would allow for. For instance, I might vape a tank of juice for 10, 15, even 20 minutes straight... and then I'll put the PV down and forget about it for 1hr.

But, I do also chain vape, especially when I've got an order of my favorite juices. If I happen to have a bottle of backwoodsbrew bacco, applebacco, melonbacco, 555, or 555exotic on hand, and a tank full, I'll wind-up vaping til the tank is empty, without fail. without question. IDC. tha flavor is so damn good, i can't possibly stop vaping on it... and the kicker is, when I order from BWB, i always promise myself that it will ONLY be a TREAT, b4 bed. Then, when I actually receive the order in my mailbox, i wind-up filling a tank and vaping til the coils burn. hahaha. cant help it, they make some CRACKIN' juices...

Most vendors have stopped using the butter flavored flavoring that causes issues with the lungs. (if-not ALL reputable vendors) and as-far as extracting nicotine, it can be EASILY done with tobacco leaf, sure. You can extract nicotine from fresh and dried tobacco leaf easily enough. (i've done it) however, extracting nicotine from things like eggplant, tomatoes, and potatoes, would be close to impossible. They simply do not create enough of the nicotine alkaloid to produce a successful nicotine crystal flush... This is why caterpillars might eat your tomatoes without fail, but you'll actually more-likely find them dead at the bottom of your tobacco plant's stem, than on-top, munching the deadly leaves. haha.

As for vaping being less dangerous than smoking cigarettes, you may be wrong... Vaping is actually completely un-dangerous, when compared to smoking cigarette or cigar tobacco. ;) I have read plenty of studies in my day, and many of them tell us that while vapor CAN prove to have some dangerous substances, each and every substance that was found in our vapor, is found in cigarettes at levels 200, 500, 600, 800, 1000x more than our vapor. So, if you were smoking for 10 years prior to switching to vaping, EVERY substance in our vapor, was already in cigarette tobacco, 500-1000 times the amount in vapor. As-far as those substances found to be in our nicotine vapor --- The study proved that the amounts found in our vapor, are slim to non-existent. In-fact, the study actually revealed to us, that MOST substances that can be found in nicotine vapor, can also be found already in the human body, being made NATURALLY in low levels, by the human body ITSELF!! Yes, more than half of the "dangerous" substances found in our vapor, are all made naturally inside of us, each and every day! So, your non-vaping mother, your non-vaping brother in law, and your non-vaping 6 month old nephew, ALL have more than 50% of the "dangerous" substances in our vapor, in THEIR bodies, from natural production. (rolling my eyes) So, don't tell me that vaping is LESS dangerous than smoking cigarettes. No, vaping isn't LESS dangerous, vaping is NOT dangerous, in my personal, humble opinion.

I've already mentioned here that I decided to quit smoking with the help of e-cigarettes. So I started my own research regarding this procedure.
Nevertheless, just wondering if some Vapers haven't been tempted to consume more nicotine now than when they were smoking regular cigarettes?
This, and the comradeship and support of forums like ECF ...

I never belonged to a "smoker's forum", trading tips on enhancing the experience, as we do with vaping expertise ...

After two generations of public smoker shaming, it became a private practice, with the constant expectation of a verbal assault or legal consequences ...

Even if vaping is demonized to the same degree as tobacco smoking, I will never feel so isolated ...
I am beginning to like that aspect myself since we are still an isolated group. Gave up cigarrettes only because I wanted to and got into vaping off and on many years ago when there were no restrictions on us at all. Going to stick with vaping even when I go to no nicotine.

tomatoes, potatoes, and eggplant (nightshade familia) do contain trace amounts of nicotine, but not enough to get a good crystal-wash extraction of any kind. tobacco leaf is pretty-much the only plant that would produce enough nicotine product from manageable amounts (especially for consumer grade individuals like ourselves) to produce a good basic solvent based extraction product.

as for buying bulk nicotine on the open US market, there are some great BULK websites. Use your google-foo. However, if you are looking to simply buy around 120ml to 1 liter of nicotine, I can recommend myfreedomsmokes. they have some of the best prices that I personally know of for bulk nicotine solution, and I have purchased nicotine from them several times with no issues. I have also used a website called www.thehouseofvapor.com which is a pretty nice site for someone JUST getting into DIY juice making. They've got a DIY master pack with PG and VG, nicotine, and a measuring (blunt tip) syringe, with "crisp" and "sour mix" flavor enhancers, I believe. :) This was the 1st place I ordered nicotine and it was a pleasurable experience over-all. (they make things easy on a beginner) I'm pretty-sure right now they are ONLY offering a 30ml bottle of 48mg nicotine, which you can cut in half to make 24mg, etc etc... (of course you need to factor-in the 100% PG that the nicotine is suspended in, and you have to factor in the flavors (which are suspended in PG as well) so, the marked syringe makes things easy, and it's a pretty good website to start DIY juice making, for small batches, of course.

Hope I've helped in some way, and as always, enjoy the vape journey! :)
