I just saved that, Thanks for sharing. :)
OK, here's the Apple cake. Since it's Moms, it took me a little while to type it up. Here goes.
This is a watery batter, don't get scared you did it wrong. It just makes it that much more fluffy and melt in your mouth...;)

German Apple Cake

*4 large Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced super thin
(I use cheese disc in food processor)
*3 tbsp. lemon juice
*1/3 cup golden raisins
*2 eggs, room temp
*1 cup canola oil
*1 cup granulated sugar
*1 cup light brown sugar
*2 tsp fresh ground cinnamon
*1/2 tsp French 'Fleur de sel' salt
*1 tsp. Vanilla
*2 cup white flour
*1 1/4 tsp. Baking soda

*Parchment paper or Flour spray for two regular sized bread pans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare the pans by either cutting parchment paper to fit the bottoms (after greasing and flouring sides) or use flour-oil spray to coat each pan.

In a stand-up mixer, blend together the oil and eggs until the eggs are creamy and light. In the meantime, peel and core the apples, and cut each one into four pieces. Use the chees slicing blade on a food processor to slice the apples paper-thin.
As you are adding the pieces, add small amounts of the lemon juice into the processor to mix with the sliced apples (this keeps them from browning)
Now add the sugars to the oil & egg mixture, also blend until light. Add the vanilla and spices, then slowly add the flour a bit at a time, until well blended. Slow down the mixer, and add the apple slices and raisins. Pour the batter into the prepared pans equally. Place in pre-warmed oven and cook for 45 to 55 minutes, (use center of oven) or until toothpick comes out clean.

TIPS

! You can use regular table salt, but the French stuff really does add a special taste. :)

! The parchment scribed onto pan bottoms is a really great idea, especially if you can't wait until they cool to remove and taste.

! These cakes do well if left to cool for about 25-30 mins. before removing from pans. They are soooo creamy and fluffy, I can't keep them in the house.

So are you going to stick with the name "BM Cake", or change it?

pchela, is yours going to be called "Another 5layers" or "5v2layer"?

Morgan, have you decided on the name "Tasty Chips"?

*Throwing the ladies off their game*

I kinda like the name Tasty Chips'

Good luck to all! This gave me alot of ideas for juices to look for. I finally met my new years goal of converting a smoker! 3 weeks now and one of my best friends is completely smoke free! As soon as he has funds he will be over here to get some flavors and to try the most awesome carmel in the world. I bet he starts with a battle pack!

Thanks Pop and Scuba for another fun time!

Wow, that's wonderful Master! It's so awesome when you can help someone else with that habit. Every now and then I take a verrrry deep breath, and pay close attention to how I hear no wheezing, and get a refreshing feeling of full, cleaner lungs. It's great to taste the air! :)
Best of luck for your friend. ;)
What kind of setup is he currently using? The -11 store e-cigs, or something else?

I sent him 4x510 batts and a PCC + 1 eGo, some attys and cartos (about 15) and about 5 juices. a couple of chargers, some carts (with all the mod fillers), a few tank carts and a drip tip. A nice plastic case for 50 carto's, an ashtray sized plastic box for 25 cartos (handy while filling) and a few other vaping essentials like 10ml syringes with blunt tips, empty 5/10ml bottles. He already had 45ml out of a 50ml bottle that I kept at his house for when I travel (of the not-so-famous M0D #6 blend :) ) I think I sent about 40ml in juices in the box.

Before you applaud too loudly - the 510 batteries were almost a year old but worked great, although the vape time was beginning to fade just a little. The PCC was a little beat up and the lid would sometimes pop open in my pocket. The first time around he did not seem that interested in vaping, but for the last couple months he had done his normal quit until he hit the bar routine. he brought up trying it and finally conceded that he knew he would keep failing if he did not try something. Previously he always said "I quit before, so I can just do it again". once I knew he was serious I replaced my gear and passed mine on.

he started with the 510's, and after a week loved the ego (once he was over the "I need a cig" hump). He ordered an ego kit with EMDCC's and some juice after 2 weeks with his savings (his cig money) and is absolutely loving it! he has 3 ego 900 batts that he rotates and says that it is perfect for him with 5ml EMDC carto's.

He always messed with me about my love of the Carmel, but he totally gets it now - after 2 weeks I cracked up when he said "I can totally see this in some flavors!".

I do applaud loudly! What a great friend you are! That beginning setup would insure success for just about anyone who put forth even half an effort to quit. I started with an 808 setup, but found it wasn't strong enough. An online pal also helped me move up to something stronger, and shared some things to get me started. I'm so grateful for the help. It kept me moving forward, the same as your friend has done with your help. The vaping community is such a wonderful bunch, isn't it? ;)
*I love the carmel flavor too-definitely my favorite-yumm yumm :)

Does anyone else feel responsible for every smoker they convert to vaping?

It seems I am always "loaning" them batteries and giving them nicquids and (cleaned) cartos. Now this doesn't bother me at all. I only vape two flavors and only 1.5 ml per day, so I have plenty of other juices. I clean my used cartos just for them. But I have converted 7 totally and a few partially. If one of them slips, I feel I didn't do enough.

There is no better feeling than getting a smoker to quit. They feel better, and go on to convert their own. Each time you help another vaper stay off the cigarettes, you are doing a great thing!
Props to you MOD.

OMG yes! I converted a couple like a year ago and whenever I visit they still point out that they are low on juice etc. I've given them everything they have! At some point, they are gonna have to learn how to get their own stuff! I've had so much stuff I had planned to put in the TC in PIF that went to them or my brother in law or my other friends... It's good to convert people, but I can't afford to support their habits!

I've converted every smoker in our law office (7) plus the security guard for the building! And 5 at my local watering hole! Which means 12 mom and pop fans and counting! Speak at an employee meeting at a local manufacturer on Friday - hope to get M & P 3 more (my goal) vapers by week's end! Not one convert goes anywhere but M & P. :)
