Hey rick, that is some good animation on that one.

Sorry if this comes off rude, it really is just a little constructive input.
please feal free to give me some if ya like. I just started trying to do these the same time you did so what do I know.

you have a massive ammount of frames in your animation. It makes for a great mini movie but in my opinion a banner is to draw people attention get them interested in looking real quick and making sure they get the message you are trying to send.
usually you get a couple seconds before they look the banner over and move on.

The ad you just put up is around 30 seconds or so. the average user isnt going to sit around and watch a 30 second clip. and because of how long it is and how many frames in the animation, you have had to lower the quality of each frame to be very pixelated and grainy while stil having an enormous 6+mb file size. This might not seem like much to those of us on 10mb connections but to those on lesser speeds, it is going to take awhile to load that puppy.

My thoughts on banners is fewer frames, crisp graphics, get the person interested enough to click the banner in 1-2 seconds and let the web page sale the goods. the banner is just to intice them to go there.

Sorry if this sounds like im coming down on your stuff, im not really. I think they are good and like the movie like animation. but if I was just browsing a site for something, I dont think it would get my attention quick enough to make me click the banner. 30 seconds is a long time to hold my attention away from what I came to the site for in the first place.

I'm not really in it to win it, i am just having abit of fun ....I am glad you won to be honest dude,
you really! wanted it :D

I don't know how to do things small Baracka my friend, when i go ..i go big!! hehe

Yeah i get you on the frame rate and some peoples slow web connections.... i will keep that in mind in future ...i don't want to upset you good folk so if anybody was annoyed with my 6+ meg file size gif's and the loading time of them ..Then i am sorry for being inconsiderate

im a semi pro graphic designer, and web. I missed this one.
Cant win em all i guess =)

Congrats!

well with experience like that,
I for one am glad ya did lol.
I'm an unemployed construction worker with absolutley no graphics design experience and looked up psp tutorials for what I wanted to achieve as I went along. It was nice to win something. with no experience I dont even know how many hours it took me to make all those banners.
