Well, the husband informed me (yesterday) that he had his first tobacco free day (he was using a pipe, I guess, that's like the only thing left. I promptly said, "That's great, and you should go to bed early with me, so that you don't puff on that pipe tonight."
Oddly enough, yesterday was his most drama free day yet, and he was actually productive. I guess dual use does not agree with him.
So, I guess he's been "cagy" about his dual use, although I had not been asking. He did make it to 7 p.m, yesterday and I am guessing his "demeanor" this morning (and whether he heads outside directly with coffee or not) may give me some clues.
IDK. He started vaping in January, but he's been complaining about "quitting" for a long time. I would duct tape his mouth at this point, but thanks to me, he knows all about nasal vaping/smoking, LOL, so I probably won't do that.
He dual used longer than I did, but man, I think he's having a harder time. Sometimes a looming health crisis makes it
easier I guess, although I must say, it will be nice to NOT have an 8 year old running through the house with various war cries, LOL.
I was 18 when I started smoking, so far more mature about it. I'm sorta convinced that it is actually
harder for him, even though I was the one who smoked 3 ppd. That, or he's just very emotive while in pain I guess.
This is probably "practice:" for me from when he gets his neck fusion fixed. I just know he's gonna want to do it without opiates which may or may not be possible, but I know (either way) he is going to be The Husband that I Love to Hate for a while....
Thanks for asking. Things are getting better though, I think he's still determined to quit, and possibly this decade. Heh.
