cool soldering iron in place of atty?

Now that I have your attention, I figured why not a battery operated soldering iron 15 watts or less and make it into a battery atty combo? Deadcat2 pointed me here saying there was a video on it being done.

I know I can do it, but I might as well look at the other guys' hard work first...I might pick up a pointer or three.

So, where is that video exactly?

How about using stainless steel foil to wrap the tip of the iron?
I have a Weller BP645 (nice ready-to-use batt. mod), and the info that I could find regarding the composition of the tip said that it was copper around a nichrome core, electroplated with iron. Not sure what the rest of the tip body is made of, so when heated who knows what is outgassed.
Been pondering the StSteel foil for awhile, if it worked then a virtually indestructable atty could be born.
Glass for the tip is a lovely idea. StSteel foil possibly more accessible?
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated!:)
