I too finally found a use for the Cold Heat "Soldering Iron". I used a dead atty from a 401 as the socket for a 510 atty. Took about ten minutes.

I'm an electronics technician by trade and had the Cold Heat laying around the shop since it's first release upon the unsuspecting public. It was always good for conversation/laughs and although I've tried to give it away for years I found no takers.

Although I am the resident gadget guy/mad scientist and the rest of the gang is used to my antics, I brought down the house when I sutck it into my face, hit the switch, took the mega-hit of a lifetime, and blew out a cloud that damn-near filled the room.

Although it is way too cumbersome to use regularly I'm gonna keep it around and loaded. When folks inevitably ask about it and it's performance I'm not gonna say aword-I'm just gonna fire it up, take a big hit, and envelope them in a fog and wait for the laughs that will surely ensue.

Have fun- life is way too short!
