I found this image while prowling the Interwebbynet. The description claimed that it was a sanded down black model, but as far as I am aware they are all built from aluminium. I suspect it has been painted and relic'd, but I think it looks as cool as hell.

i would guess that it was sanded down to bare aluminum and then copper plated. all the electronics would need to be removed to do this.
