Hey, gang. Could you briefly provide me a little insight? This will be my first mechanical never mind squonker and as such I've been researching and reading up on the CV for about a week - thanks for all the feedback here. Let me know if there's any little subtle parts I'd be advised to buy in addition:

Stand alone aluminum CV - I've read in this thread it's a V2 so I included the rebuilt kit for a V2. Can anyone confirm the version?

Narda and Origen rda clones - I've been careful to select the models with with the bf pins. Are there any additional little screws, pins or such that would be wise to grab? I did include a beauty ring for the Origen for example. Also, I see the Origen on focalecig is listed as a Shen Ray design which is preferable. Is it fair to say the one on FT is different/no name producer? Does it matter?

I'm ordering the (10) needle refill bottles.

Grabbed an inline volt meter.

Anything I'm forgetting?

TIA.

Personally, I would of skipped the Narda clone (they all whistle, need Dremmel to grind away the "feature") and dropped a Hadaly clone in the shopping cart instead.

Thanks, George. I've poured over the RDA discussions for this mod. I was planning on hitting it with my Dremel.

For the Origin 16, go to Mc Master Carr and get these screws for the posts. M3 X .5mm X 3mm long. Search the p/n 92775A010. Should cost around $10.00 with shipping for a pack of 25.

I agree.I got my Hadaly clone a few days ago,and it is so much better than than my Narda clone, that i may never use the Narda again haha.In fact,i just added another Hadaly to my next cart.

Checked my notes. Thought the Hadaly's more MTL whereas the Narda is less restrictive. No? Also o-rings - tight. The only fault I've found on the Narda is the whistling. It's an easy fix.
The Narda is a nice atty, and has a nice draw to it,but personally i think the Hadaly has a bit more air flow capability so i would say the Hadaly is less restrictive.

Mine was a V2. But If I was you, I would Hold Off on buying the Spares Kit for the CV until you have yours in your Hand and know it is a V1 or a V2.

You are probably not going to need the Spares Kit right way. So once you know which Version you have, you can just Order it then.

---

For a Single Coil RDA, the NarDa is a Fantastic RDA. And, IMO, the Undisputed Champion of Flavor.

I run mine Mainly with these...

$2.20 Authentic MKWS 316 Stainless Steel Pre-Coiled Wires for RBA Atomizers (50-Pack) - 26 AWG / 0.4mm dia. / 0.32ohm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

$1.91 Pre-Coiled Wires for RBA RDA RTA Rebuildable Atomizers (50-Pack) 50-pack - 26 AWG / 0.6ohm / 0.4mm dia. / 15*15mm leads / 5 loops at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

---

Not much Else I can think of that I would suggest for a New CV Buyer.

Only that you should have a Good Working Knowledge of How to Calculate Amps from a Build. And that you Only use a High CDR Battery of 20 Amps or maybe even More.

Happy New Years.

What is better about v2? I can see differences in the pic of the two, but don't know how the differences make the v2 better, or is it better? Just wondering.

I can see that the v2 Button should be Stronger. Whether or Not it is Needed? I Dunno?

I put two more Hadaly's in my cart. I like the 1st one so much I figured it needed company. :)

BTW - Not all version changes are done to Enhance Performance or to Fix a Potential Problem.

Sometimes Revisions are "Rolled" to make Manufacturing or Assembly Easier. Or more Cost Effective.

Not say'n this is what is Going On with the v1 => v2 change. Just throwing it out there.
