I'm looking at the pic of the spare part I have coming with my CV, and I'm wondering, why isn't the spring part bent more to the installed shape?

My coppervape seems to have a pretty anemic hit. Running a hadalay with a single Clapton coming in around .6 and a VTC 4 battery. Just not much punch. Anyone else find this to be the case?

Claptons and mechanicals just don't mix well unless you have a series mechanical...

I tried to run a .55 Ohms Clapton one time on my DripBox 60w. Even with a Fully Charged Battery, there just wasn't enough Voltage to get a Decent Hit.

I've been running single SS Claptons (26/30) lately on mechs. Have tried three builds, all 3 mm ID. First was 6-wrap @ ~.6+ ohm: too weak and ramp too slow, even with LG HB6 30A. Second 5-wrap @ ~.5 ohm: better but ramp still too slow.

Third was the charm, 4-wrap just under .4 ohm: fast ramp even with 20A batteries, hitting hard, full flavor. Now using this build in BF Avacado 22, BF Limitless, BF Magma Reborn, and I'm loving it. Have not tried in any BF drippers yet, but can't see why it wouldn't be good there too.

A SS Clapton is something I have been thinking about Trying. The Clapton I tried was a Kanthal A1.

I'm not into Making Clapton Wire. But thought Next time I do a FT order, I would pick up some SS Clapton Wire or some Pre-Coiled SS Coils.

Yeah, a Kanthal Clapton in the same application would have to be too few wraps. Been there.

Totally agree about wrapping Claptons. Did it once, never again. Been happy with the UD single core SS Clapton wire so far. Honestly, I like triple twisted wire just as much as single core Clapton. But I'm starting to get too lazy even to make those.

I Hear You on the being Lazy thing.

I have the Time. I just Don't have the Motivation. And would rather just get one of these and see if I like any of them.

No way you can lose. I'd be happy with either if all I liked were the organizer. ;)

That's my Thinking.

What I don't like I will PIF to people I know. And even if I PIF them ALL, I still have a Cool Container.

Those Coils (and the Cool Container!) are Less that what I would spend on Cigarettes in 1 Day when I Smoked.

LOL
