I was having problems with my screws (6-32) leaking air in my tanks, and making my cartos flood. Turns out the hole I drilled was too large. I ordered this on recommendation by another member and now my 6-32 thumb screws fit without air leaks. The package comes with a drill and tap for around $5 at Amazon. I found I don't need a t-handle with the tap, just insert the tap, maybe hold it with plyers and twirl the tube. It's super easy on the syringe tanks and easy on the poly tanks. The nylon screws I have work very well. They are cheap also. I've got 2 more batches of screws coming. (for some reason I'm obsessed with thumb screws!)

Here are some more I have ordered but haven't come yet. I'm especially excited about the multicolored ones!

These screws came today and they are perfect! Just like the ones on the sub tanks at momandpopsvaporshop! They are perfect with the drill/tap combo I mentioned above :D

How are those screws holding up so far with the eliquid getting on them? I've read online that some "plastic" screws can break/deteriorate with eliquid getting on them. None the less, I just ordered 100 of them (from the same person you did I believe) and will be hopefully filling tanks much easier in the near future!

They've been working great :) They are the perfect length and screw in perfectly with the above mentioned drill and tap combo. these aren't plastic or nylon.. the add says they're aluminum. They are the exact same ones that momandpopvaporshop sells with their sub tanks. I've read where some people don't care for the looks of a side port fill hole with a screw in it but I don't mind, I think it looks kinda cool and it certainly is easy to fill. I originally bought a chibi tank and had problems with flooding because when I filled the tank (with a syringe by sliding the needle between the grommet and tank) it was tricky to fill while letting the displaced air that was inside the tank, escape. Half the time I left too much air in the tank and the carto would flood. (drilling a fill hole solved this problem)

Also, when I used boge cartos and they just wouldn't wick (no matter how many holes were punched in them) I found that all I had to do was unscrew the screw and vape once with the fill hold open, then replace the screw and the tank would wick for a little while (till it didn't again) this was a hassle, especially if I was using a screw that was difficult to screw back in the tank.

with the black nylon screws, I had problems with air coming into the tank as I vaped .. it would come in around the screw. But once I started using the correct drill and tap, I didn't have that problem anymore either.

I was able to get in on a co-op for dc tanks (really cheap) and the first thing I did was drill a fill hole.

I see... I misread and ordered the nylon screws. However, if I experience air leakage, I will try out a small oring on the screw as someone mentioned above. I have quite a bit of poly tubing and rubber grummets coming in the mail, so I can experiment with my own tanks. Vaping and all the accessories that come with it are perfect for hands on people such as myself.

If you use the correct bit and tap, the nylon screws work fine, the aluminum ones just look better (to me) and seem to screw in a little easier. They work great on the syringe tanks as well. I like the experimenting also... but I was noticing last night, now that I have everything working, it's a bit boring lol.

Start handblowing some glass to make your own tanks. ;) Take it to a whole different level.

I hate to revive an old thread, but I cant find those particular thumbscrews anywhere. I think all the trouble im having with the Cartomator I just got could easily be eliminated like this... HALP! lol
