Cotton question

I needed some more cotton for my rda tonight and the only place open was the Walmart nearby. All I could find in the store was "100% Cotton" instead of the usual Organic Cotton I'll buy. I don't know if there's any real difference or not which is why I'm asking here. Is 100% cotton okay to use straight out of the bag? Or should I be boiling it before putting it in my rda?

I would boil it first. I once tried it without boiling and it had a very funky taste. I would also unroll the cotton before boiling. If you don't and you squeeze the water out before letting it dry it is very hard to unroll once dried.

What Susan said. The regular cotton uses hydrogen peroxide to sterilize it, and it tastes nasty if you vape it without boiling. I will say that you lose some of the fluffiness afterwards, but it vapes well. If you can get past the nasty flavor, once you've got it going the nastiness does go away but I prefer to boil it anyway.

I rewicked an evod coil today with cotton I'd boiled a few weeks ago now and have been saving. They weren't kidding when they said it's better than silica... More vapour and flavour. I can live with that.

Great! Thanks for all the responses, and tips. I'll definitely go boil the cotton then. I did notice a slightly funky taste while vaping it un-boiled, and well... Not a fan.

Does boiling it remove 100% of the peroxide? I read somewhere inhaling that crap causes extensive damage to any cells it comes in contact with.

I seen people use hospital grade Sterile cotton in thier mods. They say they don't have to boil it.
I just found this out myself so I am not sure about it, but might be something to research.
