Heh. Reminds me of how I feel about changing guitar strings.Probably right about the time between changes but I get so dang lazy when it comes to having to tear the Kayfun down, rewick, reassemble, and refilling. When I do finally change the wick, it tastes so much better you would think the positive feedback would keep me on track....NOT...![]()
Really depends on the build and volts. I usually get two or three tanks out of a cotton wick.
Another question would be the coil. I usually rebuild every time I re-wick. However I have a coil that is hitting perfect and have it dialed in at the perfect volt. Been babying this coil for over a month an half now. Afraid to rebuild. Funny how the same kanthal, same bit used to wrap, same number of wraps, same distance away from hole can seem to vary so much. Perhaps it is in my head, but regardless, I am not changing the coil until it pops or gets gunked beyond cleaning.
While on the subject of cotton, what is the best brand/place to get untreated cotton? I currently use BioWick on my kayfuns and its perfect for it but im getting a dripper and want to use rolled / cotton balls. I bought some sterile cotton from walgreens and cvs and both tasted like .....
