Cotton users: How often do you change your diaper?

Depends on juice. Seduce juice vanilla custard and vapedudes cool melon i can go 30-50ml beforr wick or coil get gunked. Seduce juice Jango, or AVE bobas bounty, any dark juices really - 2 or tanks and its time to rewick and dry burn

Heh. Reminds me of how I feel about changing guitar strings.Probably right about the time between changes but I get so dang lazy when it comes to having to tear the Kayfun down, rewick, reassemble, and refilling. When I do finally change the wick, it tastes so much better you would think the positive feedback would keep me on track....NOT...
I re-wick my clearos every other tank or when I switch to another juice, whichever is sooner. Since I drip several different juices in my RDA over any 24 hour period, I usually change its wick every day.
On my KFL+, which is my daily out and about user, every 2-3 days or when I switch favors. I prefer fruit flavors and most of my juices are pretty light in color.
On my Omega (clone), which I usually only use at home, I'll drip until I see discoloration in the cotton by the coils, which so far has lasted me a week. But a week is usually the max limit there, too.
I left the wick in my KFL+ beyond its lifespan before and it is not tasty at all. I'm fact, I thought I had a case of Vapor's tongue until I changed the wick and realized it was just my laziness that affected my tasty juice.

I use a DIY FA Shade juice exclusively. I find that I can go a week or two before having to swap out the wicks.
I'm getting at least a week out of cotton wicks. I figure if the flavor is still good no need to muck it up.

Really depends on the build and volts. I usually get two or three tanks out of a cotton wick.
Another question would be the coil. I usually rebuild every time I re-wick. However I have a coil that is hitting perfect and have it dialed in at the perfect volt. Been babying this coil for over a month an half now. Afraid to rebuild. Funny how the same kanthal, same bit used to wrap, same number of wraps, same distance away from hole can seem to vary so much. Perhaps it is in my head, but regardless, I am not changing the coil until it pops or gets gunked beyond cleaning.

While on the subject of cotton, what is the best brand/place to get untreated cotton? I currently use BioWick on my kayfuns and its perfect for it but im getting a dripper and want to use rolled / cotton balls. I bought some sterile cotton from walgreens and cvs and both tasted like .....

I'm using organic ones from Walgreens ("studio 35 beauty" if it matters) and it's great for me.

I have a 0.8ohm dual coil build in my Igo-w5 right now, and the coils are perfect. I've changed the cotton twice, and I've had the coils in there for about 15 days now. I keep dry burning , changing the cotton, and using these same coils, because of how nice I rolled them
Today, I actually rolled 2 more coils so that I could replace them in the Igo-w5, and I couldn't bring myself to do it
So now, I have 3 micro coils ready to go, just waiting for me to put into my KFL+, or my igo-w5, but I'm so happy with the old coils in my igo that I didn't want to swap them out yet

Thanks! I put a build with biowick in the kayfun, was working good for an hour or two then I had wicking problems. I think I need to take less strands out
Yeah. Big trick is finding right amount of strands. They dont expand like cotton balls. With biowick, you WANT to feel slight resistance when you pull it through.

On a 1/16th bit id recommend pulling 4 thin strands or 3 thicker ones

depends on the juice
darker juice (say an NET base juice) needs to be changed every other tank on a kayfun (full tank), on a dripper IDK... just when it looks like it's getting dirty
A sweeter juice, with actual sugar (thinking of an RY4 I make that has NET and LorAnn Natural Caramel, which has a molasses), needs to be changed every tank on a kayfun, and pretty damn soon on an RDA too. Sugar builds up on the coil and will star tasting really bad otherwise.
For "regular" juice... I guess when I do a new coil or when I F up and burn it lol
