Ive tried organic sterile cotton balls and USP VII Gauze. I keep getting a weird flavor after a day or so of use. Once I replace the wick I get amazing flavor again then the weird flavor creeps in and takes over. Even with my strongest flavored juice. Cinnamon masks it a little but still lingers.

Any experience with this, please help.

PS its not a burnt taste

Hmmm... I'm not sure if anyone has been able to conclusively nail this one down yet. Some people notice an off-flavor from cotton, others (like myself) don't... go figure?

I, like you do change out my wick pretty much every day or so since I do vape NET's and they do clog pretty quickly muting the flavor and vapor.

Do you boil the cotton to remove the sizing before you use it?

Just get plain old 100% natural cotton yarn from a crafts store...i get the best taste out of it, took me a while trying different types of cotton but the cotton yarn didnt taste funky after a few days. i get a week of use out of it with micro coils... the key is to keep it moist and dont vape it till it burns.

I second the peaches and cream cotton spool from Walmart. I've had it for 6 months and hardly put a dent in it... And it was like 3$ it's all I use. I change wicks maybe 1-2 a week...

No boil no nothing.

Works perfect in my rdas

I'm using Peaches and Cream yarn from WallyMart. 1 piece for the wick and 1/2 piece (2 strands) for the flavor wick. Works great with no off tastes as long as I don't burn it.

I've tried Peaches & Cream....I actually think it gives a more muted flavor which is why I now use Sugar & Cream. Still boil it for 20 minutes and let air dry overnight b/c I have NO idea where it has been or who has handled it. Safety and piece of mind I suppose. Now...you say you use 1 piece for wick. Do you mean a full 4-strand piece? Assuming so. What size coil are you running? I ask as I've been using micro-coils wrapped around a 1/16" drill bit. Currently using 3 strands and 2 strands as flavor wicks on my 60-70 PG juices. Occassionally, I get a nasty POP/SPIT of juice coming up the tip and hitting me in the tongue. Not enough cotton?? Maybe coil isn't placed correctly? Any thoughts....

Not sure why it is labeled that! It is unbleached... And natural? (Not sure of that one can't remember) it's great though...

I use kanthal wire 30awg found on ebay for like 8-10$? 100ft I believe

FYI.... I get 100' of 30 gauge A1 Kanthal for $5.50 from Lightning Vapes. Also sells from within Ebay. He has various size and lengths of A1 Kanthal (varies in price), silica and ekowool if interested.

I actually have used cotton pads when I first was introduced to cotton, and the taste may have been more robust... Can't remember

But this peaches and cream cotton works pretty damn good IMO.

And I do usually 3/2 wraps around a nail, and then I string the cotton through using a piece of kanthal to snake it through my coil. I use 1 piece folded in half, so it's 8 strands, technically
