If you’re getting dry hits on a rta, I would first look at your wicks and make sure they aren’t to thick in the juice ports. Having the wicks to thick will choke the juice flow. You can probably go to YouTube and look for a wicking tutorial for your specific rta.
As far as the juice, I would suggest using at least 50% or higher vg. I prefer 70% vg.

I wrap my own coils and wick them. Wicking is certainly a tricky thing - not too little, not too much.. My DIY liquid has an about 70/30 PG/VG ratio.

why do I get cotton breaking and how to ovoid it
Oxva arbiter 2 in middle where the coil is
You're heating the cotton, hot enough to turn the liquid on it into vapor/aerosol. And the coil is heating from the middle out, so the middle gets the most heat over time. i believe it's normal for a wick to break apart in the middle when you remove it to replace it. Mine almost always do. It shouldn't just be breaking all the time, though; just after it's been used a while and you tug on it to replace it.

Been using rta for 2months now why do I get cotton breaking and how to ovoid it
    Hi,
Make sure your coil is in contact with the wick, a hot spot could burn the cotton.
Maybe the wick is not well saturated in juice. It could come from: too much power, too much cotton, too much VG.
You'll have to find the good ratio between all of that
    Hope that might help...

That's a nice looking rta. Is this your first rebuildable? What coils and wattage are you using? It would seem to me you might be using a power setting that heats the coils quickly, and if you chain vape a little too long after that, the wick will degrade in the center. You may also be using too much cotton to begin with, or not fluffing the tails enough.
This video seems to show good technique for the wicking.

And was wondering once I get the wire what steps I should take do I just make the coils heat is up to even out hot spot or before that should burn the wire a little kill germs what steps should I take?
    1) Press the fire button on your mod to heat up your newly installed coil. Only go to a dull orange red glow. You don't want your coil turning bright red. When I do this I set the wattage no higher than 12w - 20w (depending on the wire used).

    2) After you release the fire button, take a small flat blade screwdriver and gently scrape the top and sides of the coil.

Repeat steps one and two until any remaining hot spots are gone.

There is no right, wrong or 'best' wire type to use for obtaining the best flavor. In truth, it all comes down to personal preference for each vaper.

The wires I like best another may not like and vice-versa. FWIW I like 26/36 ss316L clapton wire and also like 26g ss316L simple round wire (and some other ones).

Everyone finds what they like best, and prefer, by trying out different wire types.

I have the OXVA Arbiter 2.. and it's my favorite RTA. The cause for try hits on this tank are usually caused by the wick ends touching or laying on the base, where the juice channels are. The wick ends should be a mm above the base, touching nothing.

It's the only tank I have that's like that.
