I have been thinking about this also, and all of the sudden I remembered that certain lipsticks give me this same feeling of fullness in the throat. Those shiny, glossy things really bother me. Chapstick doesn't. Now, if you are a guy you may not have tried these glossy type lipsticks before (I wouldn't want to make assumptions on this cuz you never know do you?). But I guess I should bear in mind I have some sensitivity issues.

I wonder if anyone else has noticed those gloss sticks giving the same effect as vaping?

Itchy scratchy could be anyone of the following

New to vaping
wick and/or wick not wicking properly.
too low ohms/too high volts
nic too high
allergy to PG
allergy to VG (or VG used, most vendors use coconut VG - some use Palm)

As far as it being burnt up, maybe, if it was smoking up. But you'd probably taste burnt silica - which is the natiest thing ever. yuck yuck. Cotton burning has a much milder flavor, but is more likely to happen than silica. I went through rewicking my novas daily while trying to figure out proper sizes and the black charring happens on both silica and cotton within 24 hours.

im not familiar with the viva nova but have you changed the cartomizer? if its old i think that could very well be it.

The Vivi Nova is a different animal from the tanks that take cartos, like the DCT, J-tank, Phiniac, MAP, and the like. They use wicks that carry the juice to a top-mounted atomizer instead, like a Stardust, Odyssey, Penelope, and most (all?) clearomizers.

Here's a video on the care and feeding of a Vivi Nova that should give a good idea of how it functions:

How to change out your Vivi Nova tank - YouTube

And this is a huge thread on cleaning, customizing, and rebuilding them:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ystems/295410-vivi-nova-rebuild-tutorial.html

So far, I've just used them totally stock, right out of the box, and I understand I'm in for quite a treat once I start tweaking them. Cotton wicks seem to be all the rage, and periodic cleaning is evidently critical.

To the OP: My aunt is 92 years old, and is a huge Rangers fan. For her sake, could you guys please stop kicking their asses? TIA. :)
