I just ordered some MsTs juice and it is really thick and has a high VG % she said. What is the best method of mixing this with distilled water? Or would it be better if I could get a hold of some pg? So thick it takes quite a while to soak into the carto.

I use Vivi Novas exclusively.. so hopefully I won't have that issue. I can see how VG might have issues getting through that little hole is some tankomizers. But the Vivi's wick is wide open.

You might want to just hold onto it. As I stated before, you may just be going through what I did about a month, and even now a month and 3 weeks later, the sore throat / cough from quitting smoking. It happened with VG also, and got so bad last week it was hard to eat for a half a day. Yesterday I got another sore on the side of my cheek on VG.

It would be a shame to just waste all that money when something as simple as the quitting blues is getting you down.

Give it a little time. Did you read the symptoms of quitting smoking??

I've only read the positive timeline on quitting smoking. But I will hold on to them for a little while as I'm curious actually if this is quitters cough or PG reaction. Maybe test them a few weeks down the road to see if it gets better or the same.

Interesting, I had the opposite problem you're having I was actually allergic to VG based Juices, simply because VG Based Juices can come from a variety of sources and I think one of them is animal byproduct which really surprised me in the beginning because I've only read about people being allergic to PG Juices. Symptoms include ulcer like feeling on the area where you stick you mouth piece at around your lips and a very uncomfortable scratchy throat hit that makes you just not want to vape at all. For VG Juices if you want to try out a tankomizer would probably be good to order 3 hole pre-punched cartomizers for your tank, and you shouldn't have a problem with it unless of course you vaporize 1-1.5ml of liquid faster than the juice can feed into those holes but that's highly doubtful lol. But to end my note I didnt really like VG Based Juices as there was just 0 throat hit for me, I've even tried a 30PG/70VG blend and that was 0 throat hit and I'm vaping at 18mg. I'm not sure if there're various sources to PG but if you're having juice issues it might be that you're allergic to a certain type of PG, but I've not really done any research into that because I haven't had any issues now vaping at 70PG/30VG. Also to note flavors will be muted with VG Juices, they don't carry flavors very well and throat hit just wasn't present for me at all. Might I suggest that you buy just small amounts from various vendors and test them out instead of buying a whole lot at a time, that way you can identify which sources would be most suited for you. But I guess all vapers do go through this, it takes a while to find the juice you want as an all day vape, and God knows I have tons of juices that I didn't like just laying around on my shelf lol.

I went with a previously recommended vendor which has customized juices. I went with all 100% VG. I knew the flavor would be a bit muted so I added an add shot to each of them. Hopefully they will work for me. I'm not all interested with throat hit that much, especially not after the irritatingly harsh throat hit I'm getting now. I just like visually seeing vapor exhales, maybe it's a mental thing to confirm I'm getting a great hit.

If you want to just blow out tons of vapor then yeah VG would be the way to go, but still a long long way for you to go in terms of vaping, I know it still is for me and I've been vaping for 4 months or so, finding the juice that you'd want as an all day vape is quite annoying as there're SO many flavors out there and different vendors, I wish you luck on this journey, cheers and happy vaping!

So I got my order in today of 100% VG juice. I was so anxious I tipped half a Vivi Nova's worth of juice down the sink and cleaned out the tank. Put a fresh head on, got it all assembled back together.. topped it off with the 100% VG juice. And guess what, after a few hours of toking on it... I still get the scratchy throat. WTF gives.

Well since I assume it isn't the juice now, I guess the only thing left is the wick????

I dunno but I think I'm gonna switch the the drip method for a few days and see if that help anything.

Might order me some cotton wicks in the meantime and rebuild the Vivi Nova.

Well, After a few hours of vaping tough via the drip method... throat scratch has completely cleared up. No more choking or scratchy throat. So, I suspect the Vivi Nova's wick is suspect. Although I like their tank, I will be re-wicking to cotton to see if that helps any.

I suspected that to be the case because it sounded just like the experience I had with them. Let us know how the cotton wicks do for you.

That sound like what I am experiencing right now . I quite analogs 2 weeks ago and started vaping with no prob. Then all of the sudden I get the harsh scratchy throat yesterday and it sucks because I enjoy vaping it's got me off analogs and I don't want to have to quit vaping now too. I use a Oakley 510 atomizer with matching tank and a joy tech 180 mah battery , it's a small setup but it works for me. I use a 60/40 vg/pg blend (strawberry) and was wondering how long this throat thing is supposed to last. All my equip in new enough to be good and I clean my atty on the regular but the harsh sore throat is getting on my nerves any suggestions?????? Could it be the way we inhale like straight to lungs or maybe switch to cigar method???.

I wonder if the nic is too high? Doesn't that contribute to the TH?

I don't inhale straight into my lungs, I kind of inhale then breath it in, if that makes any sense. It lessens the scratchy feeling in my throat. Some juices just cause that scratchy, "fullness" in my throat over time, but since I really like them I just rotate through several different juices a day (that includes the ones I drip).

I quite vaping heavy for a few days.. Vaped just enough to cure my nicotine cravings. After a few days of light vaping, my throat is no longer scratchy. Even when I vape the previous juices with PG. I'm still using the same wicks and juices that I thought caused it in the first place.

Maybe I overdosed my throat on nicotine?

Maybe I overdosed my throat on PG?

Maybe I overdosed my throat on vapor?

These are the questions I'm left asking myself at the moment. I guess it could be any 3 or a combination of them. I'm vaping moderately from now on until my throat gets used to it. And now that I think of it. I didn't start really getting the scratchy throat until I got my Gripper and started vaping 'hard'.

Maybe I just overdid it a little bit.

I've been giving a little more time in between tokes to let the juice fully soak back into the wick.. and it has been helping alot. I find that I get pretty rough pulls when I puff back to back to back without giving enough time for the juice to fully saturate the wick.

Still havn't tried the cotton wick method yet. I have the cotton wick, just looking for some good kanthal to coil it.

Hopefully this will relieve all the problems I'm having.
