Could I be fiddling with my vaping stuff too much?

One of my batteries that I haven't had very long is fizzling out on me already. I had it for a little over a month. I have 4 e-cigs and an eGo so it is certainly not from over use. If anyone is like me, I like to fiddle with my stuff. Could I have overcharged it? My manual V2 is acting up. It was one of my first purchases and the automatic battery is working just fine. Both Halos are working fine as well. I am frustrated because I like to rotate the use of them with different juices. Nothing more frustrating that one of you favorites not hitting right. I thought it should last longer than that. How long should a "cigalike" battery last?

Hey Cosmiclady! Do you know how many MAH your batteries are? Also where did you get them? Some last a week & some last a year depending on the luck of the draw sometimes from what I understand. If you got them from a reputable vendor then they should last longer than a month or at least I would think so. I'm a fiddler myself so don't beat yourself up!

fizzling out as in no vape? if that is the case, turn battery off. try using a toothpick and gently work your way around the center post of the battery and lift it SLIGHTLY. and I mean GENTLY. a VERY LITTLE BIT. I Hope I have made myself clear.. I have 3 ego twists and whenever I put a Kanger Pro on it I have to do this, it doesn't want to hit the battery unless I do this. other tanks work just fine. Did I say take it easy on the center post enough?

V2 has a lifetime warranty on its batteries (as long as you've purchased from them in the past 90 days). Call their customer service and they should send you a replacement for your manual batt. I've had no problems with my V2's but understand they're very good about honoring the warranty.

Yeah the first thing I would do would be to clean them - the threading and such.
The adjust the posts as described above, then see how they do.

The V2s are interesting. I was amazed to find out that 4.2v was not a standard rating for batteries. I later learned otherwise. I have been very impressed with the V2s, but not impressed by the company. The V2s use a 808D connector. I bought a few 808 to 510 adapters. This works out pretty well. On top of being an odd size there seems to be an inherent problem(s) with the connector itself.

I doubt you overcharged it. The charger seems to do a good job of stopping at the right point. Logic would also prove that if it overcharged one it would be likely to overcharge both.

You cannot adjust the post as it is fixed in place



On possible culprit is the area around the post. If is very likely that you may have some sediment build up from leaking juices. This would cause you to actually be shorting out a bit every time you fire. You can use a safety pin or a needle to get into the groove around the center post and try to clean it out. You should be able to wash it out if you are careful as I do not believe there is a top vent that goes to the battery since it is a manual fire... just be prudent. Also avoid firing the battery while doing any cleaning...I know Capt Obvious, but I did warn you.

I hope it is an easy fix as I really like my V2s. They are perfect for easy pocketing and give a decent vape for their size.

Thanks for the advice. I will call them. I haven't reached out to them about the problem yet, but when I spoke with upon ordering they did have good customer service. I will try them on Monday. I recommended two smokers to them. Unlike Halo's customer service. I can't even get in touch with them.

Thanks for the advice. I have cleaned the threads, but I didn't try going around the grooves individually. I try very hard not to get any juice on my threads and keep it clean. I'm going to call V2 tomorrow and see what they can do. I loved my manual V2. I'll keep you posted.

I am using a standard 250 mah. I really thought is should still be vaping pretty good. The automatic one is doing great.

I kinda fell off the wagon for a while, and am getting back into vaping. Out of curiosity, I stopped at a new ecig shop that opened up where I live, and tried a few samples (all on ego setups). After that, I decided to get back into vaping. While waiting for my halo triton to arrive, I've pulled out all my old gear. To my surprise, the old V2 batts, which haven't been used in over a year, still had a full charge. Cracked open a blank G6 cargo, filled it with some old juice, and it's working fine. Not sure what problems your having, but I'd say I'm pretty happy with V2's batts. Never was a huge fan of their cartos, though. IMO, just can't beat Halo's blanks, as far as cartos go.

I love my halos too, with the clearos though, I noticed their cartos last a long time. However, their customer service kind of sucks. I can't seem to get any response from them. One of my new cartos didn't work. I contacted them on their skimpy email form and that was a few weeks ago. Havent' heard from them yet. I cant's seem to find a phone number to contact them. As an update, I tried it last night it was better. Not back to 100% but I'll contact V2 on Monday.

Using a v2 with a standard 250 MAH. I ordered a manual and automatic battery. My automatic is working just fine. I can't see anything I can do with it. Unlike the tanks and mods.

Hey CosmicladyP! I've been here for a little bit. I'd say I've gone through most of the trials & errors with cartos & clearos. I plan on vaping forever so I went with a Provari & cartotanks for my everyday vape. I started with the egos & moved along to the twists. I'm playing around with RBA's & mechanical mods now whenever I get the chance. I didn't expect this to become a hobby for me after smoking for 15 years but it has. My wallets not happy. Sounds like you're off to a great start though. Make sure you come around & keep us posted on how things are going for you. There are a lot of really great people here!

I called V2 today and without hesitation, they are replacing my battery. They are even sending me the bigger battery and in another color. I am excited. Their customer service is great!
