Obviously, Cisco sent you the wrong thing. Happens all the time. Order the 1.8's and the 2.2's...I'm pretty sure those will clear up all of your vaping problems. Yep.
That's what's the mystery that causes me to believe my tongue isn't effected in the least by smoking.
Was getting great and full flavor on the Cisco - beautiful.
Turned right around and tested many other devices while vaping the Cisco, because I'm like that.
Horrible results.
Cigarettes all in between.
None of the results changed.
Took me 3 weeks to settle down but even now, 5+ months into this my tastes are still changing.it takes days sometimes weeks for your body to fully adjust to vaping not an hour, every hour without a cigarette your senses will be up in the air changing on the fly without warning.
Most people clean their atomizers before use, to remove cutting oils, dirt, grime, etc.For me, the only reason I'm posting any of this is to A. Explain and question why I get a "dusty" vape if a coil is really acting up on silica, hemp, or cotton [yet, from what I can tell, not doing it on a wickless coil], and B. If it's true that my bad tastes may be coming from Kanthal or NiChrome, I'd assume the chemical deposits (or just gunk) from those wires would need a more solid particle to travel with, rather than just H20 particles, which are probably what flavoring particles travel with.
That's really all I'm doing this for, you guys. It's not some big war. It's serious scientific questions that I've only ever wanted a bit of research and depth on. For whatever I ever make up on this forum, it has to be said that not many folks have provided any sort of studies or links or self-tests. I need that as much as you guys do (and trust me, we're all getting mad at each other for the same reason - just because the theories and advice goes back and forth without either of all of us getting the proper information across or, well, with me, getting a good vaping result...)
I mean, my general tests seem to prove that certain materials give me a dusty vape. This dusty vape doesn't always correlate with a bad taste (but always does correlate with coughing, asthma, or sneeszing). Yet, a bad taste, for me, never happens without the vape also being very dusty. It's as though one factor requires the other, but not the other way around.
The bad tastes don't happen all the time (well...), and the dusty vape sure doesn't happen all the time, it's just experiences I've experienced at a very large rate, and I want to share and inquire.
"Grand wickflow gaps." What the...?^Just a little update about the meaning of the Newton!
I mean really, none of ya'll told me to offset a seemingly hot coil or hot vapor with a VG juice, and that itl'll only work with a device that has pretty grand wickflow gaps...
...Just asking why. Why, why, why, why, why. I'm worse than a darn 4-year old. I'll happily admit it. Ya'll ain't telling me all that much about myself that I don't know. I'm just still in the "why" phase because Monday, RDA day, isn't coming fast enough!!!
Your posts often come across as condescending, whether you mean them to or not. So do mine at times, but at least I'm honest about it.I just don't have an over-inflated ego, I have a point-fun-at-myself-and-compare-myself-to-old-age-idiots-who-happened-to-be-smart-basically-by-dumb-luck-and-some-downright-slightly-controlled-idiotic-testing-but-brung-valid-points-to-the-world ego. Like Issac Newton lol...
This has been tested and confirmed. Most "gunk" on coils is usually normal airborne dust that gets sucked in every time a person vapes. This is easily confirmed by vaping straight PG. PG vapes residue-free, so any residue on the coil and wick is coming from an external source. If you are vaping in a dusty environment, I bet you'll get a dusty, gunked up vape.
Just sayin'.
There is no such thing as PG gunk. PG vapes clean. Clean your house, vacuum, dust, and wipe stuff down, and you'll stop vaping dead skin cells, dust mite exoskeletons, and dirt that you've sucked in through your PV's airhole. You should also get an air purifier too.Because thread is now serious thread again, according to me.
Someone did propose the idea of myself not liking the taste of PG gunk on the coils, even on another thread, but I never saw an explaination that satisfied me as to why I could be mistaking PG gunk with dust, or why the PG gunk forms to begin with? Too high ohms? Not enough/too much wicking? An uneven coil? What is something that could cause this to happen?
Maybe someone could chime in on that? I just want to get this narrow down and eliminated before I hassle myself with RDA's.
Dammit.....you just love editing your stuff don't you.
I made sure to do this particular test while vaping the Cisco to ensure that smoking wasn't the cause.
First, I vaped the Cisco. Then vaped the Aspire and a bunch of other things. Compared the flavor, realized all those other devices are..... manure.
Then, as a double-blind test, I smoked a cigarette.
Came back, still the same result. Godly aspire. Manure everywhere else.
Did the cigarette test one more time.
Again, godly Aspire.
The Aspire, after like an hour of not smoking a cigarette, finally went caput because I was using NET's and everything else, at 3.5ohms at 4.1V's. Already have said before that I know that's what gunked it. The gunk was even pretty GOOD with tobacco juices til then. Never tasted like a sock.
That's the vaping standard right there!*exception being only an hour of performance*
Ummmmm.....I've never tasted socks.......ummmmmmmm........I gotta goThis whole "sock taste" thing is driving me nuts... I can not for the life of me conceptualize wth anyone is talking about! Same with the "monkey ...."! Has ANYONE, just ANYONE, actually ever tasted a sock or ....?!?!?!
What in the f' is going on here?
For the love of vaping... if you are tasting .... or socks of any kind stop... STOP

What happened??? Cisco is crying in the corner! Was it a Cisco or an Aspire that worked??? C'mon GoodNews! What kind of reviewer are you?
Dammit.....you just love editing your stuff don't you. I have another question, just curious...how much do you drink?

What watts would you ( someone experienced in watts please ) run a 3.5 atty? I'd like that question answered before skin gets mentioned and this thread goes down....
