I recently bought a cheap e cig, the charger waS broken so I asked a friend to fix it (soldering two parts). Before the charger was broken I had charged it for at least a hour, but it doesn't work :s could someone please post pics of what a working atomiser looks like

you can rip off that "bridge" or as u say "mesh thing" but u will have to drip and not use carts. if you dont want to drip u have to order a new atty. it will be pretty hard for a new person to replace the mesh.

if you look thru the pics u will see the mesh go far inside the body of the atty, just buy a new one u can get them for a few bucks, plus u should always have back-ups they dont last forever they need to be replaced once in awhile depending how u take care of them

Do not drip if you have auto batteries - if juice gets inside the battery it can kill it.
And atomizers look all different ways. And no matter what pictures you find they are unlikely to show the inside of the atomizer where the actually heating coil is (hidden down below where a mesh bridge is)

BTW - without spamming get your post count up to 5 (posts or replies) and an hour later you can ask in the UK forum in National Forums here. Maybe they can tell you where there is a physical ecig shop you could visit. I also recommend Liberty-Flights.co.uk
And for any ecig you depend on you need to have spare parts - spare battery, charger, atomizers, eliquid. Atomizers and automatic batteries are the most likely things to fail and chargers fail sometime too. And atomizers are generally not reparable (other than special expensive rebuildable atomizers).

Hi Richards, I'm in the UK. Can you tell us where you bought your e-cig from & what your atomiser looks like? However, if your atomiser has died, i doubt anyone can help you fix it. It would be a bit like trying to fix a blown light bulb.
Can you post a picture of your atomizer so we can make sure we understand what you are saying?
Your atomizer very well might have that mesh thingie (called a bridge) but it might be inside a tube rather than sticking out.

Also - something to test - if you have auto batteries - if you suck on the end of the battery alone (no atomizer), does the battery light up? If not then the battery is uncharged or dead. Similarly, with a manual battery alone, if you press the button of a manual battery and it doesn't light up then it is uncharged or dead. You need to try these tests without the atomizer on.
