Could this be confused with a gun?

Perhaps it just me as I’m searching for the best small, conceal carry?

Cops think lots of things are guns including empty bottles, cellphones held up to record the incident, butter churns, a child's shoe rescued from the drunken car accident, what HAVE you. I'm not sure they do it on purpose, .especially in the dead of night with the adrenaline pumping. IDK. Sometimes I think it is justified, sometimes not. The Seattle neck one, definitely not. The one where the perp STOLE one of the cops tasers and tasered (or attempted to) one cop twice, well, I think shooting that dood was pretty justified.

If you are asking: Can I get a cool vape holster that will make my vape look like a gun and then you pull it out all Crocodile Dundee style and you are like: "That's not a gun. THIS is a vape," then no, I don't think you have found your concealed carry quite yet.

Also if you do find one please don't use it for vaping. I mean, a cop could shoot you dead in the middle of the night, and also, it's just somehow not good for the uh, reputation of vaping (my opinion ONLY this entire post) but yea.

    Lol,
I have no desire or intention to pretend I have a gun. Often when riding my Softail at night and in the mountains, I’d carry my .38 (licensed CC). A few months ago I picked up a Sig P365.

The reference to “searching” meant, I’d been shopping recently for a small CC. hence perhaps, why I instantly thought of a gun?

The atomizer tips on some mods resemble a small gun barrel at a glance. I've had cops stare at the mod I was holding in my hand several times. I just open my hand to show them the mod and then take a hit. It seems to calm them. I don't blame them for being suspicious. Some mods have large drip tips that could easily be mistaken for a small caliber weapon when hand held and partially concealed.

Good point. Smaller devices are likely difficult to recognize.

    Good luck. :)

    Its not?

That being asked a little story. A couple years back cops shot a black man in a parking lot I think of a liquor store. He was acting erratic and someone had called. The cops tried to approach him and he pulled out a gun from his pocket so they shot him dead. Only the gun wasnt a gun it was a vape. Cops just saw movement from him and something shiny and reacted.

If that's the reaction your looking for go ahead and get the item whatever it is.

Well, they needed a dang mental health team then, is all. Some states have implemented that fairly proficiently. "Acting erratic" is usually a sign you need someone able to talk that person down and help the cop to not freak out.

I really think this is the best way to do it, and given our society these days, train up some social workers to like, ride along at all times. But make them ALSO able to defend themselves, drive a car really fast, and etc.

Home visit social workers deal with this kind of stuff, unaccompanied I might add, all the time. If I were younger, I would totally sign up. It could be exciting. Although I've been in homes just FULL of guns at the tribe. I mean there was this assessment question "Do you have a gun at home and it was all, "Nooooo ooooooo;" Until I wised up after seeing some things and started asking, "So how many guns do you have." LOL then they'd be like, "Oh, just two for self defense."

Except for Igor. I mean that is what I called him because he was all like, bald and scarred up. He had a TBI which was really sad but also funny, I am afraid. HE answered honestly, he was like, "Ms. Anna I have 14 AK-47s prepared for use at all times." I was like, "Uh huh got any plans to actually use them right now?" He was like, "No, but that could change on like, a daily basis." I was like, "Okay so we will need to discuss them daily then?" He was like "Yep."

He also made me the most beautiful Pascuola mask, which is a tribal thing. it had a blessed eagle feather, it is very beautiful.

But yes, trigger happy some areas of our society, AND cops. I mean, everyone is like "OOOOH this bad cop shot someone."

    A) THEY ARE TRAINED TO
    B) AFTER AWHILE WITH no mental health treatment WHICH THE TRAVELLING SW CAN PROVIDE IN AN NIFORMAL WAY they get corrupt, they get PTSD, they get burned out, they get tired.
    C) Being a cop is SUPER stressful in a bad way. :Long periods of boredom and then horror, or just a non stop fun house show, depending where you work. Having to prepare for anything.
    D) Cops don't get enough support including pay,. It is NOT all fun and games until someone loses an eye.
    E) Yes there are bad cops, or cops who become bad where that could have been avoided.. I don't love all cops in fact ONE time I got so mad at one I told his little minion who was trying to find out what happened I would not speak to her unless he apologized. My son, who is TERRIFIED of the police now, was shaking in his car seat which is why I backed down. To his credit the sheriff DID call to apologize. He was behaving badly. It was completely justified.

However, overall, I am for a GOOD police force. Better than the one we currently have in many places. I think having someone along with a slightly different orientation can work better and keep things moving more uh, proficiently. Call me crazy but it does work.

Sadly sometimes it's just like politics where like the people who do it should not be allowed to. Tucson police force RECRUITS from the U of A fraternities. This is a bad plan in so many ways...Sorry I stray off track.

Put a bright orange atomizer on it?
:thumb: If I get the joke, that's what toy guns have now because some look very real.
I would think that when they see you putting it in your mouth that it's not a gun (or would they assume you are trying to kill yourself?) Seriously, this world has gotten very crazy... it is a valid question.

Having briefly seen some of the things that social workers deal with on a regular Tuesday if I ever have a crazy person outside wishing to do me harm I would much rather call in the social worker LOL those are some tough cookies.
