I know there are few threads in the forum but I wanted to start a new thread because this topic of lung cancer worried me a lot

Few points and questions

1. I smoked around 10 years ( around 7 cigarettes on average)
2. I quit smoking and started vaping (12mg) around few months back. I agree that I smoked few cigarettes even after picked up vaping. But I decided not to smoke any more
3. If I continue to vape 11mg for rest of life, can I escape from this biggest threat
4. I started taking green tea. 3 cups per day
5. I'm walking 1km in morning and 1km in evening
6. Some posts are saying some flavors may cause health risks. What are those? Then which liquid I should use?
7. I know it is not possible to give 100% as vaping invented few years back. But suggest with ur best knowledge
8. I'm using aspiron kangertech evod vv with variable voltage from 3.2 to 4.8v and resistance is 1.8 ohm. I'm smoking at 4v. Is it safe?
9. What are the precautions that I should take to avoid the risks. Like dry vaping and others
10. I'm using joyetech eliquid. Is it good?

I posted this thread with an assumption that it will be also helpful for many others.. There are few other threads but I don't have all the info that I need there

Kindly respond to this thread and help me

Thanks in advance

All I can report is that I feel healthier and my doctor when going in for a physical last year said my health has improved since I had seen him last. He said my lungs sound clearer and that it was almost like I hadn't touched a cigarette. Whether some other damage is being done.... I don't know now. I did just run my second 5k and dropped 3.5 minutes from my last run (no walking or stopping, something I couldn't even do in high school). Would I rather completely stop and live in an environment where there are no toxins? Absolutely!

However, I'll take my ecigs over regular cigs any day!

Only you can decide if it's worth the risk, will I eventually try to stop, I do not know. As for now, I am content.

There is not Guarantee as Lung Cancer is not Smoking specific. It is however the highest increase in Cancer rates(smoking)
It is the Burning of the Tobacco and paper product that is Deadly, creating Carcinogens and clogging lungs with Tars.

Nicotine has Never been linked to any form of Lung issue - ever(in a true scientific study) Vaping has very few attributes that would indicate any link to any type of lung disease. Flavorings themselves can cause irritation to lungs and throat tissue on a minimal level.
Some Flavoring Additives are of concern and already being replaced with safer additives.

Your concerns - minimal
My concerns - none
I am 62 and will likely pass on from old age or Smoking related illness long before any chance of a Vaping related health concern.
10yrs of Healthy Vapers to look back on for references :D

I'm smoking at 4v. Is it safe?

Correction - You are Vaping - You quit Smoking, remember? o_O

1. I smoked around 10 years ( around 7 cigarettes on average) ... not good.
2. I quit smoking and started vaping (12mg) around few months back. I agree that I smoked few cigarettes even after picked up vaping. But I decided not to smoke any more... good.
3. If I continue to vape 11mg for rest of life, can I escape from this biggest threat ... maybe.
4. I started taking green tea. 3 cups per day ... should be no problem.
5. I'm walking 1km in morning and 1km in evening ... good.
6. Some posts are saying some flavors may cause health risks. What are those? Then which liquid I should use? ... I've never heard of any confirmed health problems being caused with vaping.
7. I know it is not possible to give 100% as vaping invented few years back. But suggest with ur best knowledge ... we're still waiting for the first health negatives of vaping (nothing seems to be on the horizon).
8. I'm using aspiron kangertech evod vv with variable voltage from 3.2 to 4.8v and resistance is 1.8 ohm. I'm smoking at 4v. Is it safe? ... I'm not familiar with that device.
9. What are the precautions that I should take to avoid the risks. Like dry vaping and others ... keep reading.
10. I'm using joyetech eliquid. Is it good? ... I've never tried it.

It really is sad that the lies and half truths fed to the general public by the media and those that are supposed to be looking out for our general well being have those new to vaping concerned so deeply about the detrimental affects of this life saving technology. :( Nothing can be guaranteed to be 100% safe but this technology has been deemed to be at least 95% safer than the alternative.

This. I have no doubt I will probably be healthier if I didn't do either, vaping and smoking. But at least vaping has helped me quit smoking and at least its proven to be 95% safer than the alternative.

I don't think you'll have any issues but, that is for you to decide.
I was smoking 2 packs or more a day when I quit. I was diagnosed
with chronic bronchitis. Today my lungs are clear. For what its worth
for John Wayne 4 packs a day were a good start.
Regards
Mike
Can you Pls elaborate pls

I was diagnosed with chronic bronchitis.
Chronic Bronchitis: MedlinePlus
3 years ago I couldn't walk 50 feet with out stopping to catch
my breath.
Today after vaping for almost 3 years my lungs are fine.
The rest of me is still falling apart but, that's a different story.
I smoked for 38 years straight not counting when I was under
18 years old. I smoked my first cigarettes about age 11.
Regards
Mike
