Hey BGarrotto: On charging when I plug in and screen is on, charge bar Flashes till Full then Stops Flashing shows Solid Bar. When charging screen/unit is Off, Screen Says 'Charging' and when Charge Complete Screen Says 'Battery Charge full'.

I like the Atlantis coils a lot! Great Flavor and Vapor! The 1 ohm would be perfect for the Mini Volt. defdock is on the money if you are into Building and Re-building coils I have the Aspire Atlantis OEM RBA Heads they Work Great!

Now there is some controversy with this but the Vaporesso cCell Ceramic coils for the Atlantis Work Pretty Darn Good in My Opinion! The have a Kanthal .9 ohms that Fits the Bill and Profile of the Mini Volt!

As far as websites you have to go look! Pricing changes all the time! I was told that there are a couple places out there right now that have the cCell Ceramic Coils Box of 5 for $9.95 that is a Hella Good Deal. Atlantis Coils are Priced by Type and they can be spendy so shop around!

Skully {:{}

One more quick question, anyone know or use a tobeco super tank mini on this mod? If so any recommendations for Atlantis style coils that are 1.0 ohm or above? Brands/companies/styles? Maybe a website to buy from? Thank you. This is my first forum I've ever joined...

@Skullman. I don't want to get OT too much, but the MicroStick is a good stealth device, but required maintenance (contact/switch cleaning) or misfires would occur. And 800 mah was just too little bat life.

Spheroid v3 is outstanding in flavor, but I can't do tight draws for long. The v4 increased airflow, but flavor suffered in the new design.

This Mini Volt/ Goblin combo has satified my grab-and-go requirements.

I have a Pico incoming and some CLR coils. I want the setup to be more lazy with a replaceable coil system.

Maybe I got a dud? How long did the initial charge take other owners?
Just got mine today. The power bar was at about the half-way point and, using the included cable, it took about an hour to get it fully charged. Compared to an iStick 30W, it seemed slow but I liked that it didn't get hot while charging (just slightly warm).

Hey Sedge: Thanks for the info! Still thinking of going down that road.

The Goblin Mini & Pico seem like good Partners to the Mini Volt! I've been going through some of my inventory of Little Tanks, RBA's & RTA's but also looking at what is out there!

Hey Poeia How You doing Girl? Good to see Ya here! How you liking your Mini Volt?

I couldn't leave the RS RTA Alone just had to Play a little with em!

Not exactly Practical but they sure Look Cool on the Mini Volt! With the Right Coil Build they Work Real Well!

Hey Class Wife: Yep, they are different! Holy Land Mods has some Very Different Designs. I came across them last year with one of their previous designs. The KS is a Compact All Day Tank! You can Build it to meet the needs of any Mod! They Look & Work Good in TC Form on the iStick 40 watt TC!

Skully...what the hey are the tanks on those ?

I've been trying to convince the wife that she needs this mod...since she isn't a chain vapor like me. She's contemplating the evic vtc mini, but I can't really afford to buy a few 18650's for her..having to get 6 batteries for my rx200 did a damper on that.

I've been waiting to get a response back if the red royal hunter mini matches up with the red on the mini volt, because I was going to get the black, just from looking immaculate and made for each other, and seems to be the ultimate pairing for stealth vaping..

I pulled the trigger on a RX200 wismec or whatever...because I thought she made up her mind on the mini volt, so we could just swap mods out for whatever our needs are that day..and my 4nine(like any well made mechanical) is going strong after 2 years.

These things are too cheap, especially being authentic gear, to not pass up. The whole glitch with the charging seems like you might as well just take the atty off when charging the mod. I wasn't thinking, and I ordered a Kennedy mini with demon cap for us to use on both the new mods, but I'm sure I can figure out airflow issues with that...also ordered a velocity and stumpy.

Thank you defdock, you provided a great deal of insight with this mod...which I didn't even bother to come here before I made the full decision to purchase it.......even though I haven't purchased it yet. If my 4nine wasn't authentic, I'd just let her run around with it..but I already have a nice ding in the 14mm extension tube from her using it for a day.

It's my first post in several months, so sorry for the babble.... The gus estia was the only tank I really enjoyed after getting into dripping, even though it wasn't good for lung pulls. What rebuildable tanks should I check out for lung pulls, but are on par with the flavor of my favorite drippers? -origen, stumpy, hobo, and my omega has been the only thing I've been using for over 6 months...pretty sure because it's the only true adjustable 510 dripper I own...comes in real handy for the galvanic corrosion I have to deal with on the 4nine...:)

It's good to be back, but once we move back into our own place, I probably won't have intranets...so I'll make the most out of the time I have to be back among my ecFam!

Now I've asked them if they'll ever implicate voltage mode in a future update, will post that response asap, because that little sucker is quite intriguing.

Ok, I'm an idiot - but what is the difference between WATT mode and Voltage mode?

I was just about sure I was going to get one of these, but when I read that it might burn out the coil - I am not so sure anymore.

Small and easy is all I want.

It's small and it is easy to use. It is only watt mode.

In non technical terms, voltage and wattage are two ways to regulate how much energy the atty gets that vaping devices use. Voltage was common until the way to regulate watts got better and China started producing mods that did both modes. Now most vari mods are watt mode only or watt and temperature control. There are a zillion debates on which is a better.....

With all regulated systems --- start low and turn it up to taste.

If you follow the above, you won't burn out the coil.

A zillion illogical debates....

People argue that direct Voltage/Energy control is better, because of the chip reading the resistance wrong and firing at improper Voltage. Now, let's keep following that logic...if the chip is capable of screwing that up...then it's not going to properly regulate the voltage either.

I've never understood it.... It might be because people thought that they could get more wattage out of a 15 Watt mod using it in Variable Voltage...when you can't push more Current/Amps out of a chip then it's capable of...

Now, if you're atomizer is screwed up(loose contacts), or you have a crappy 510 on the mod...then yeah, that argument comes into play, but I'll just beat my head against the wall some more, next time that argument comes back.
****edit- BUT I could care less if the mod had only VV or VW. VW was a great leap forward for newbs***really all of us..I don't have to worry if I change drippers if I'm going to burn my throat from having a different resistance**... A lot of us don't realize that the majority of people, even a lot on ECF and other forums, don't have basic electrical theory knowledge.***

OKKKKKKK.....

Convince my wife that she wants the mini volt, instead of a evic VTC mini. PLEASE!:)

*****************
Edit-NEVER MIND! I win... It'd be so much cheaper to just get the mini volt+dripper....instead of the vtc mini and 2+ batteries...and maybe even another charger, since one of my springs broke in my nitecore.

Has anyone had any issues vaping while their mod is charging? Or is that a no-no with this one? If the USB sits in there snug, and has no play what-so-ever, I don't see any issue, but like many samsung galaxies that have bit the dust in our possession, can't use it while charging.
****************

**Editedit- Just ordered a red and black...with matching mini royal hunters to go with em, and a SS stumpy. She only thinks I ordered one setup though....so I might get in trouble...:/, but I can return it in 14 days..and then, she'll understand why we have to have both.

I don't know if I'm more excited for the rx200 with the varied drippers to go H.A.M. with, or these two mini volts. I've always been into small setups...once I realized how big and outrageous a 15 Watt mod was for me...always snapped cartomizers from the length of that totally wicked vape pro/ zmax chip...sleeker body.

Yeah, Insomnia is great..**

Hope she loves it, Mr. K.!

I'm not a big fan of vaping my devices while they are plugged in, though I have heard of zero rants against doing so with this device. Quality of components and build are certainly factors -- on one device the USB was reported so crappy, I put a wrap on the mod to insure I never use it even for charging.

As it's often stated by battery guru's to let the battery rest at least a bit after charging to save the life of the battery and also for safety, therefore, it would seem wise to not interrupt the charge cycle with frequent puffs. ECF library says that the most dangerous time is the first use after a fresh charge.

Yet, I am not always wise. I have used this feature on mods from time to time. I do however, watch for the device heating up and if it does, stop vaping.

Hawaii, but now in cold Illinois
...and mine is bricked.

Woke up this morning with about 50% charge - hooked it up to a charger with the cable it came with. 1 hour later? The screen won't turn on.

Ironically - I was hesitant to buy after reading other similar issues. Stick with your gut people, stick with your gut. I had a solid 9 days of use before it stopped working.

On that odd note, this mod sure can take a beating... I live on concrete slabs and almost drop this mod everyotherday... besides the few drops, last night really took the cake. Was trying to "impersonate" someone and accidentally ended up throwing my mini volt and Gob nano right out my friends window... Broken glass, bounced off a deck and slid across his driveway.

Initially thought it was the end. extremely happy it survived with only searched to the rubber finish. Carbon fibre is perfectly intact, tank is also perfectly fine (really really glad I swapped my glass section for a pc one asap)

If this were an eGo stick... bye bye
If this were my old trusty mvp2... bye bye
Ego one... can't even withstand a knockout without failing electronics... bye bye.

I'm really happy this survived, and with extremely low visual damage.

...and it should "unlock" itself after being left alone long enough to kick in the "auto shutoff"

Again to reiterate my lastest finding
"If you find that you have plugged it in as the screen shuts off, do not unplug the cord if you notice the screen didn't turn on to note charging just unscrew the tank and hit the fire button."
