I've got one on the way from the co-op. I ordered one full kit and then (in haste) I ordered an extra control head and tubes. Did I really need the latter two items? Is it posible that I could make an entire 2nd eVic out of the extra parts?

Also, is there some sort of lanyard out there that fits this thing??

yeah you practically bought 2 evics with only 1 battery. beauty with evic is you dont need a charger cause it charges via micro usb. if you buy another 18650 youre good to go. i regret buying the whole now, because i would of been good to go with just the control head cause i dont use the tubes or the included battery anymore haha.

I'll start at the bottom question first.

Ive found that a simple rubber lanyard attached to keychain and meant to hold 20oz bottles can hold a lot of pvs, especially those with a tank attached.

I think you would also need the battery cap/spring in addition to the control head and tube to make another working pv.

Ive heard from several people that the heads in particular on an Evic are fragile when dropped, so the extra control head is probably a good idea.

Havent really heard much mentioned about the tubes but having spares is ALWAYS a good idea.

Spot on, Zapped.

That is the one issue with the eVic. Where the screen section meets the top of the device is flawed structurally. A couple of good drops and it is quite likely to separate on you. I have done this to mine, and had to re-solder the wiring. A lanyard is a very good idea. Vape on!

Spare parts are always a nice thing, but yes you could turn it into another eVic if you so chose. The 3400mAh battery is worth the investment anyway.

While yes the screen cap separation issue does occur. Most new Control heads of "sink" screws to prevent that from happening further. I have dropped my poor eVic several times and it is still going strong. The lanyard thing suggested by zapped I found to be a good option. Especially when you have glass tanks.

Congratulations on joining the eVic crowd :vapor:

Come on people

1) Evic should be the latest with 2 screws securing head parts - much stronger unit.
2) Evic Tube comes with bottom Cap Spring

All you need to do is pick up another Battery.

I cooped mine and did as you are asking about. Mine was second head from recall notice. Re-flashed firmware and ordered a tube. BOOM - 2 eVics!! :D

I forgot I started this thread awhile back :p

But yeah, my original intention was to have spare parts. I mean at those prices, it's almost two for one, you know?

And yes, I need a lanyard - I tend to drop things, lol.

Two more questions come to mind -

1.) Do I need an adapter to use my EVODs? Will they look dorky on this APV?
2.) I plan to start re-building my EVOD heads, so I can use the EVIC as an ohm meter (I think I read this in another thread, but want to confirm.)

I've subscribed to this forum, so I PROMISE I won't forget to respond promptly, lol.

No adapter needed, they screw right on... I don't think they look any dorkier on the eVic than they do on any other similar sized mod (and less than some, since they fit slightly inset without any gap). For any juice other than the all-day-vape-of-the-day, my attention span is too short to use a protank worth, so I tend to rock the Evods a lot on mine...
