Hello,
So I've been vaping just over three weeks and loving it. Currently, I'm only using a eGo T2, a couple of kanger t3s and a couple of nameless, plastic carto tanks. However, since managing tanks, cartos, coils, etc is a lot more involved than simply running to the store when your out of cigarettes, I had a few questions .
A couple of questions about the Kanger t3 or all polycarbonate and plastic tanks
1. Is it necessary to clean the tanks if I am constantly using the same types of juice? For example, I've been using a number of tobacco flavors in my t3s. I don't mind mixing the flavors when the tank gets low, but I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't supposed to be cleaning them regularly for any specific reason.
2. One thing that bothers me is that some juices break down polycarbonate and plastic tanks. But since I'm inexperienced, I was wondering, how will I know if my e-liquid is breaking down the tank? Is there a distinct flavor that goes along with it?
3. Given I'm using only safe juices (or juices not known to break down tanks) , how long do these tanks last? I'm not talking about the replacement coils, but the tanks themselves. Is there any reason I can't keep them for a year+?
Also, I'm having a frustrating experience with cartos ... It seems that just as often as I get a good hit, I'm getting a burnt hit. I've been priming using the condom method (per pbusardo, and a few videos I've seen) and dripping regularly. But even after dripping a lot, it seems that my cartos dry out very fast and I'm getting burnt hits. If I put my e-cig down for a couple of hours, forget it, burnt flavor galour! So then I drip again and it takes like 10 dry hits and a lot of normal hits before the burnt flavor goes away. (I couldn't tell you the brand of Carto because the kid at the store didn't know but it has the two 1mm laser holes.)
1. Can this just be a bad batch, am I doing something wrong, or is that just how it goes with cartos?
2. The first carto tank I tried had one 2.3mm hole, and worked much better it seems ... not as many dry burnt hits. Has anyone else experienced that?
I have a pro-tank, viva nova and evod in the mail, and will probably get one of the Triple V premium carto tanks (that's if I get the hang of cartos....not giving up yet). Can't wait to try them.
Apologies if this too long a post. Thanks a lot for reading and any feedback is greatly appreciated.
