i'm really interested into getting into RBAs, with tanks, and i have a few questions:

1. how "all-day-vaping" friendly is an RBA? meaning, is it real "touchy" to being knocked around a bit or rolling on my passenger seat cushion? i see several people (normally pretty new at it i think) saying they don't feel comfortable taking a RBA out on the town.

2. tilting. do they all require tilting to vape? outside of the natural tilting that happens while vaping.

3. What would you good people suggest for a "mid-level" starter? meaning not a protank...but a good, user friendly, AGA-t2 or something?

4. you all kick much .... :D

i'm willing to get involved with the tinkering and building required to get the set-up right...i just want to get something that best matches the "feel" of vaping i've gotten use to (carto tank).

I don't have all that much experience with RBAs, but what I do have seems to indicate they're not all that fussy when it comes to 'normal' handling... Drop'em, or otherwise subject them to rough handling, and you're going to get the same kind of probs you will with any setup...

Here's a couple priced-right one's you might think of giving a try... The Mini-DID-Clone from Vaporbreak I have experience with and have been a happy little camper with since I got it set up... Have 2 of the Cobra models on order and hope to have the same luck with them... Figure for the price I can't really go far wrong... :)

1) Unless you leave your fill hole open, it is a pretty darn good all day vape. If you do leave it open, then it'll cause leaking when left on its side and especially left to roll around.

2) if you roll a real good wick, then there's no need to tilt at all unless the liquid level is below the bottom of the wick or you are vaping at really high wattages and your wick isn't able to keep up.

3) Aga-t2 is a good all around and relatively cheap rba. Go for it.

4) Thats what vaping and especially rbas are about :D

Trust me, once u go rba, it's hard to go back. Keep calm and keep vaping!

Vernhall...those prices are crazy low for what i was expecting! question: any idea what the diameter is? i believe the ELA is 22mm-24mm...and i'd like something close.

Need some more info, what kind of device are you using? What kind of wattage are you looking for? How do you normally vape?
1. how "all-day-vaping" friendly is an RBA? meaning, is it real "touchy" to being knocked around a bit or rolling on my passenger seat cushion? i see several people (normally pretty new at it i think) saying they don't feel comfortable taking a RBA out on the town.
They are all day friendly for me, they ride in my shirt pocket so they are vertical. I leave the extra screw out so if left on its side will leak like a siv... With the screw in, it still leaks just not as fast. That is a problem with a genesis, now my pheonix, my IGO-L my dripping atomizer... No leaks...

2. tilting. do they all require tilting to vape? outside of the natural tilting that happens while vaping.
I roll straw wicks, it will wick but I like more juice so yes I tilt sliglty above vertical it is a normal hand position for me though with a pinky button mod. Dripping atomizers - Position independant.

3. What would you good people suggest for a "mid-level" starter? meaning not a protank...but a good, user friendly, AGA-t2 or something?
This really depends on how big your hands are, what device you are running it on, what kind of ohms, dripping/gene ect. The AGA-T2 is really good, the Did Clones are fiddley and quickly outgrown... The AGI, the RSST are some other options for Gene's... The octopus RDA and the IGO-L are great choices for drippers.

4. you all kick much .... :D
If that is a question, umm yes?

All joking aside get any of them, it will give you a good taste find out what you like and what you dont, with the prices of many of these (below $30) it will get you use to it and you can buy a differnt one when you know what you like.

.
at this moment i'm using a standard Bolt with 1.7ohm cartos. that's it. i vape all day. at my desk at work, at home and all trips between. :)

as far as what wattage i'm looking for...well, i have no clue yet. i'm gonna start with some of the standard builds found around the site and youtube...and go from there.

buy a mech mod so i could buy american...top off with chinese clone. there is no end to my hypocrisy LOL

That's the way it is with RBAs. Prior to the Chinese getting into the game, nobody used gennys, unless they were willing to drop $130+. Even today, the majority of the high end RBAs are made overseas. I can only think, off the top of my head, of two U.S. made units, even today. The AC9 and the ZENs. Both are intermittent availability, and pricey.

time to show my noob off:

whats the difference, really, between the AGA-t, that cobra clone, RSST, and the DID?
AGA-T - screw on cap, used mostly to make hybrids
AGA-T+ - the new style aga with a plastic tank
AGA-T2 - the new style aga with glass tank
COBRA CLONE - a did clone that is slightly larger
RSST - AC9 clone, has a plastic insulated tank
DID - smaller screw on cap

so as far as easy of use...they are all about the same. just the look and the options you'd want.

So...i need a ohms reader, yes? can i use a vamos i wonder?
