i got my new eGo kit yesterday. Really really like it! I guess it came to me charged because when I put it on the charger, the green light never turned red.

I used it several hours last night and put it on charge before I went to bed to make sure that battery got a full charge. Even after using it several hours, the charger light still stayed green. now it should have turned red at least for a little while as I know it was not still at full capacity.

These battery chargers are the most frustrating part of the ecig experience IMO. I have multiple issues with my PCC not showing a light at all and the Joye 510 charger always seemed shady and cheap to me. now this with the eGo. I am concerned because I don't know if this charger is working or not.

Has anyone else run into this issue? Surely it doesn't stay green all the time?

Secondly, I ordered a couple of drip tips as well. Ok, maybe I am a total idiot because I dont know how these fit? I assume they would work on a 510 or eGo atty but i have no clue how they go on. I envisioned them just slipping into the atty like a cart but they won't even think of fitting. What on earth do I do with these things? I ordered two in slightly different styles and neither one works - or at least not that I can figure out.

I am most concerned about my battery charging issue. I don't want both my batts to go dead and have a faulty charger!
Thanks.

When I put a battery on the charger the button on the battery flashes and the light on the charger turns red. When it's full the light on the part of the charger that you screw the battery into turns green. If you're using the usb wall adapter, that light stays red all the time. That's how my setup works. If you're getting a green light all the time, it sounds like something is wrong with the charger. If your drip tip doesn't fit, maybe it isn't a 510. They might have sent one for a different atty such as an 801. My 510 drip tip fits snug with the O ring on it, but it does go in.

Sounds like a faulty charger and it is not making contact with battery. Try to screw it in snug and if that does not work contact supplier. I had one fry a battery once because the screw in connector was faulty.

The drip tip is most likely for a different atty. Make sure they sent you a 510 drip tip.

the light should go red when charging. But maybe it wasn't drained enough to trigger the charging circuit to work. But really there might be something going on. Where did you get your kit at is it a true Joye eGo. Do both batteries do the same thing? They come with a 80% charge. Are you using the charger that came with it?

Drip tips should push on the atomizer. The O-rings might be a bit tight at first or maybe they need a bit of lube. But they should just push on the atomizer.

Like above, sounds like a bad charger. That sucks, the one that came with my last eGo kit is kinda sketchy, the light blinks like its shorting out sometimes but at least it charges.

Also it sounds like you got the wrong tips. They should have an o-ring on them that makes them VERY snug when you slid it into the atty tube.

This is beyond frustrating since the MAIN REASON i ordered an eGo was for battery power! I guess it is faulty because even when i use the USB charger it stays green. Has never turned red using wall adaptor or USB.

And now I am worried as i put the unit on charge this morning when i left for work. ARGH!!!

i got it from Liberty Flights which was suggested on a thread here as they had the best price. It looks like genuine Joye eGo but Im not an expert on knock offs. Any thoughts anyone about this vendor?

If you were using a 510 before you can charge eGo batteries on the 510 if it will thread on. Some chargers have deeply recessed threads, others don't. It takes a long time to charge though. When I got my eGo Mega I also ordered an extra charger and usb wall adapter. You may want to consider getting a spare.

yea mine has a very deeply recessed charger. It wont fit. :(

Liberty said they would overnight it to me so i could get it before going on my vacation thursday. if they can do this they will definitely make me a happy customer. i will be going on a five day trip and the whole idea of getting the eGo was not having to worry about charging a battery every two hours while away.
