no, mac is a reference to Apple computers. The iSmoke line is a skit on iMacs, iPods and iPhones, all made by Apple. That mother-of-pearl finish is very similar to the plastic used on most Apple products - sort of a flat grey/silver under a clear resin.

Don't ever be sorry to ask questions. You don't know it till you know it, right?

Emp, it looks like mother-of-pearl to me. Is mac a word for mother-of-pearl? Or does it mean something else? Sorry to be asking so many questions  Please forgive me.

You guys are too much! LOL. I feel so embarrased . Of course I know what a Mac is. My first computer that I bought (about 20 yrs. ago) was a Mac. They called it a laptop, but it was more like a heavy suitcase. I do miss the flying toasters and not having to worry about viruses and spyware. Then I had a job where I had a pc notebook to use anytime I wanted. After I was done with that job I went through computer withdrawal, so I bought a Gateway with XP. It was a good little notebook that I hardly had any problems with. Had it for about 4-5 yrs, until the USB ports went kaput. It cost more to fix it than to buy a new one that was faster and had more memory. I really wanted a Mac, but they were about twice as expensive and I didn't feel I could afford one. I ended up buying an HP with Vista. Big mistake! Warning, warning, Will Robinson and everybody else, do not get Vista! Just my opinion as Vista has been one headache after another with me. I would like to be part of a class action lawsuit against Microsoft. Anyway, I am one of the few people on this earth that doesn't have an iPod or cell phone. So I'm not too familiar with all the new techie stuff. Who can keep up with it all and have a life? Wish I could afford them, but I found this new hobby that's call e-smoking....:) Anyway, I think e-smoking is cool and we are trend setters. If the manufacturers could keep up with comparable designs that match your iPod or whatever, they'd be on to something.

Yep- I have gotten much less flax since I switched from the faux cig look to my Riva. People still wonder about the vapor pouring outta me, but then they don't smell smoke, and it's all cool. Plus it then becomes a conversation starter. I feel like I treat mine like an asthma inhaler- which could be a good look to go for. A disguise! It's a medical device! lol
