The 1st sign that something is amiss to me is the BOGUS mah ratings.....

900mah is Chinese for 650mah and 600mah is Chinese for 350mah..

I don't know why they need to lie about the mah ratings.... But they do.....

I really wish we had a trusted US supplier for all battery needs... There are a few but some batteries are not carried or made so we are stuck with China for some batteries....

I think AKs0n was mainly concerned with the supplier/mfg having a presence here in the US. The thought being that if you blow yourself up you have the company or local representatives here to hold accountable whereas filing a claim against a company wholly in China might/would be fruitless.

Thank you...

I just received those same exact batteries in the mail w/ my shipment.
I guess I worded my earlier statements incorrectly... from what i'm getting from your post.

- 1st off I'm no battery expert so please just accept as my personal opinion. -

The thing is for me... I don't care if it's made in China.
I'm sure a vast majority of things in our life are 'Made in China'.
I seriously have np w/ that but....
Would I prefer to see a 'Made in the USA' label instead ......of course I would.

The thing to me that differentiates the 'TENERGY' battery from those Trust/Ultra/whatever/Fire is this....
I cannot find the latter battery having any connections whatsoever to America, or any other country, I bet,
cept China.

On the other hand

We have that TENERGY link I posted which DOES have some sort of facilities HERE in the USA and NOT just China....
'wtf is up with that' is what i'm getting at.
If you're a 'Global Manufacturer' wouldn't you think they should have SOME invested interest in pitching a tent over here in America?!
When I read suppliers stating battery manufacturers offer to ship over mis-labeled batteries....
For my personal safety I would choose TENERGY based on what i've read & know.

That's just my opinion but I do feel incredibly strongly about it.

God forbid if tragedy was to strike me or anyone else caused by one of these batteries.....

A. Contact www.tenergy.com

or....

B. Contact Trust/Ultra/whatever/Fire of China & Good Luck trying to get that manufacturer there to show that they really care bout you or your little problem... from a million miles away.

What I 'Trust' is if those 'Trust Fire's start A 'Fire' and then that turns into an 'ULTRA Fire'....
one of those 'Fire's will vanish back into the shadows but the other 'Fire'...
might leave someone permanently scarred w/ little to none compensation.

- My Opinion -

Point well taken....thanks...

But just out of curiosity AKs0n- Do your batts say made in CHINA??? Like i said just curious...Thanks...

Yea man they do.

So either I misread what someone else posted, which that very well could've happened, or the person who stated such was just mistaken.

Either or, I really shoulda looked into it further.

Then again, maybe Tenergy does manufacture their batteries here also but, we simply didn't purchase those that were 'Made in the USA'?

Really, idk, I have not yet had the chance to fully read that link I posted to the TENERGY, USA website so your guess is as good as mine atm.

There is nothing wrong with china made batteries but their is somthing wrong with junk china made batteries and we must look out for clones dealing with china goods also. E-bay it is very well known when you purchase a generic blue lable you are takeing a big chance in geting poor quality batteries or clones from China.

I have some ultrafire batteries they work fine. I have been useing them for 6 months with no signs of them degradeing yet. I also own some Trustfire they seem to do ok but I feel they are not as good as the Ultrafire. It is a good posibility that they might be made by the same company in China the Ultrafire can be their better line. Or Trustfire may even be a clone but a decent I have to say it is a good clone if it is. But I have done fair with all the below I just give Ultrafire the edge over Trustfire.

The writeing and little flame symbles are very close on both of them Ultrafire & Trustfire
The Ulrtafire has a R with a circle around it .The trustfire has a little TM. I had a mod and the mechanical switch at the bottom kind of indented/caved in a side of the little circuit board on the negitive end on 2 trustfire but did not on the Ultrafire. Also the circuit board is stamped on the Ultrafire they are not on Trustfire. I also had a few bad Trustfire never received a bad Ultrafire. For me Ultrafire has been a good batery and at a good price. I have got a few bad ones from Trustfire

I own the following batteries and types listed below for my PV & Mods Tactical Light & Tactical light mounted on my AR-15 they are in prefered order from left to right and think all of them are made in China except for the AW I think.

AW, Tenergy, , ultralast, Ultrafire, Trustfire & Excellerator
18650, 14500 ,10440 Rechargeable 123 ,rechargeable CR2

Try spending 10 or 20 minutes reading in the flashlights/tactical flashlights forums where the have a lot of Police & Firefighters and first responders who use flashlights every day and need to depend on them.See what they have to say about the batteries they prefer or the ones they have had trouble with.It just so hapens that their flashlights take many of the same batteries our PV's use.

I can't say i'm happy that I cannot find a Duracell or Energizer version of these batteries.

Thats just extremely annoying & without that manufacturer having any representation in the USA whatsoever I really only feel 110% safe using the Tenergy batteries.
I'll stll use those TrustFire batteries but only 'Protected' versions and with more care examining weather they atleast look authentic and knowing they most likely could be more dangerous.

Damn, where are my Duracell CR2's /sigh

------------------------------

I'm guessing it could be possible that...

'Tenergy' is an American company who manufacturers in China.

&

'TrustFire' is a Chinese company who manufacturers in China also.
- the only battery i've ever seen where a distributor had to 'correct' the manufacturer -

www.batteryjunction.com/trustfire-aaa-600mah-tr10440.html

**-Product shows '600mAh' on label, the as tested capacity is 350mAh

Hey AKs0n- I actually love those batts (rcr123a) I use them in my other mods.... I wont mention which one,out of respect for David....But i really love those batts, they last along time and i am a heavy vaporor...They are made by Tenergy...But manufactured in china at least that is what the label says on them.....But never the less they are the greatest batts that i have used to date....

"Global Technology and Service Center" in the USA

&

"volume cost effective manufacturing" in China

Hope that clears things up.
