Thanks alot Jeff for all your research & for sharing all the information you've found with me & others.
I was wondering, from your understanding of what we need to purchase, if this Multi-Meter I found would be suffice.

Its a pretty affordable $31.99, and if this can & will do the trick, I will be buying this ASAP!
Reply Hey AKsOn
That Multi meter is fine you would be surprised the many uses it has and what it can do.
I would also like to add that through all my search for HV batteries....
It appears that the RCR123a battery is the ONLY battery made in the USA,
by Tenergy, thats is compatible for use on any of the HV battery Mods.
Which seems important to me.
Reply There are other US battery manufacturers but yes the majority comes from over seas(but you can purchase the better quality china batteries that have the best track record and I recommend purchasing them from a US retailer that is reputable rather then off of e-bay or direct from china)
Tip on finding quality batteries visit the flashlight or Tactical flashlights forums you will find some good people very knowledgeable with batteries as many tactical flashlights use all of the same batteries that our PVs use.
I've thought of the remote possibility that 'What if my Protected batteries should explode'.
How would I afford to pay my doctor bill for any injury sustained. ><
Reply: The what If scenario
.well with Protected batteries and unprotected batteries both of them sooner or later will reach their life expectancy. That is the main reason I did the write up for people to educate themselves and use the test procedures to determine when it is time to dispose of a battery before it fails so there is no injury or doctor bills.
With the Trust/Ultra/whatever/Fire batteries being manufactured and supplied from China only...
How the hell would I be able to get them to A. acknowledge my injury & B. Help me pay for my injuries.
I'm assuming manufacturers in the USA would.
I also recently noticed on the news Toyota recalling back over a million cars for safety reasons for ex. which everyone knows is Japanese manufactured but is ALSO a company who sells to the american public from inside the USA itself. I don't see any 'TRUSTFIRE of America' at all.
Just an example of a foreign company that everyone can & will trust unlike those chinese battery
manufacturers selling from overseas and will not be held financially responsible for anyone's injuries.
They are even offering to sell their batteries labeled 'Protected' to suppliers eventho they ARE NOT...

Which makes me uncomfortable using ANY battery whatsoever, weather protected or not that is manufactured in China, W/O having a Multi-Meter to help me protect myself from any possible injuries resulting from a battery exploding.
Lets keep vaping! ! ! But guys... please keep in mind who exactly these ppl are who are supplying our suppliers.... A bunch of fake english named Chinese men hiding there true identities and hidden within the sanctuaries that their nation provides them.

Very enlightening thread & I admit I do need to learn alot more bout this,
Thank You.
