I left mine standing up last night, thinking I may have over-filled it just a tad and also thought for some reason it wouldn't leak that way(it was late). Grab it this morning and the battery is hot and dead. Against my better judgement(and as a mechanic) I plugged it in to see what it did all night to run out of juice. It, by itself, is just giving off one quick toot over and over again. When I go to draw on it, it won't fire.

I've killed the one thing that kept me 3 months off analogs ;_; le sad.

So, mostly to other folks out there who have one: DON'T DO THAT. Now I've just gotta contact V4L and get a new one. Might have to buy a disposable to get me through work. Yuck.

That sucks, I fell for you Kenneh :(

I never leave any carto/smileo/tanks connected to my batteries when I am not using them, even if it is for a short time I always have the battery unattached.

Good for you Nailz....I bet you are one of those super-organized people. OK...I will disconnect my Dial a Volt and my Zeus, and maybe my Egos, but the regular stick batts and carts....I don't think so!

Wow offer some advice and get sarcasm, but to answer you, I am far from organized, but only have 1 battery on the go with a tank on it, so not hard to unscrew it for me ;)

I especially make sure not leave tanks attached if i'm not using them. I only use cool carts, so I never had trouble with major leaks or anything of that sort. Sorry to hear that Kenneh :(

I charged it up today, left it upside-down all last night/day, trying to get at least some life out of it. The "full" charge on this thing doesn't last more than 3-5 good hits, then its dead. I'm surprised, but at the same time, sort of not. Until I got my first Zeus, I was strictly a manual user, cause I was afraid of things like this happening. Ah well, live and learn, eh?

EDIT: Shot to the heart - "Damages caused by e-liquid misuse will not be covered by the warranty."

So, again, PLEASE BE WARNED! DO NOT DO THIS.

I always leave the smileo on the battery over night. I always left cartos and mega carts on the batteries too. Of course, I generally use manuals which I believe are not as touchy about juice leaking because they are sealed or something (?). Any way, I haven't ever used the Zeus, but regular manual batts, as well as the ego batts and DAV batts have never poofed on me.

I do tend to refill off the batt though, then check to make sure it is not overfilled (if I can't see through the tube, I blow a little into a tissue with pressure against the screw on part) until I can see through it. Only then do I screw it onto the battery. Also, I lay my batteries flat on the table when not in use, which probably doesn't allow the juice to drip down into the battery.

Good luck with your next one - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! ;)

    Strange update:

Threw the battery on the charger last night just to see what would happen again. Picked it up and... it vapes! Every so often (not at regular intervals) it'll vape on its own, but it doesn't take a long hit. The battery life seems to have returned. Last time I tried it the thing died after a few drags. Been using it for a couple hours now, will keep posted for those interested.
