So I started today as my official switch from analog day. And every 30 min or so, my mind beings to plan when I need to put on my shoes and walk to the store to get my cigs for the day. Then I realize that I do not.

I am currently thinking about where I want to get dinner, and I can't get the thought that I should plan it so I pass by a store to get some cigs out of my head!

I forgot about what a habit my daily trips to the store used to be! It's actually amazing, as I hate waking up and knowing that I can only enjoy or focus on anything at about 30% until I secure my smokes for the day.

The worst is when I reach that point where my pack beings to start looking empty with all those loose cigs sprawling about my pack. This is usually around the 8-left mark. Around the 5-left mark, I find it difficult to start or get into something, knowing that I will need to go out and buy more smokes soon....even if those 5 smokes will last me 5 hours! lol

It is. I am currently figuring out how much I actually need to vape!

The body is amazing at self-regulating levels or a substance, nicotine in this case. So I am confident that I will find an equilibrium as soon as my body understands this new delivery system.

Are there any easy symptoms that I should pay attention to to see if I am taking in too much nicotine?

lol, I actually cant wait for winter and that moment that I realize I dont have to go out into the storm in order to vape. :)

We recently had a tornado warning during a pretty blustery thunder storm, scary enough to send seasoned mid-westerners to the basement (it has to get pretty ugly to make me nervous enough to round up the cats and dragons, and I was getting there), and my kids were at their dad's that weekend, so I called to make sure everyone was headed downstairs. They informed me that everyone was fine, the dogs, the cat, their step-mom and the birds were cosily settled into the basement, everyone except their father, who was out in the storm, smoking.

'Cause he won't smoke around his birds, bless his heart.

I wasn't buying by the pack anymore, only by the carton, but it had gotten to the point where I could have three packs left and I'd start getting nervous that I was going to run out. It would gnaw at the corners of my thoughts all day until I bought another carton.

I live in Philly currently. 1 block from a 7-11, 1.5 from a grocery store, 2 blocks from a CVS, and 4 from a Wawa. I make buying a pack part of my daily walk......that's the answer! I need a new 'goal' for my daily walks. Maybe get like an iced coffee at some obscure hipster cafe 10 block away.

I am glad I no longer have to pick up my pack on my way to work. I walk to work, and the nearest gas station/convenience store adds about and extra 33% to my walk. I can't tell you how many times I was 5-10 minutes late to work just because it was more important to grab smokes than be on time. So glad I vape now, no more monkey on my back!

Great thread! Isn't it amazing how cigarettes can mess with your mind like that? I would do the same thing, count how many smokes were left in the pack and start to worry. Would I have enough for the rest of the night? What about if I couldn't sleep and needed to get up to have a smoke, would I have enough left in the morning to get me by til I left for work? So many times I would be ready for bed, only to decide I better get dressed and run to the store to get more smokes "just in case"...I absolutely hated leaving early for work in order to have time to stop at the store for more smokes, so that there'd be plenty for the trip back home....oh dear, vicious cycle.

You have dragons? Really?

I have Australian bearded dragons. I'd have lots if I could, but they're pricier than Provaris once you start buying all the accessories to keep them happy.

Can I buy one from you?

Do you have any Night Furies?

No! And no. But that would be awesome.

These are my pretty babies.

A hipster iced coffee a day will eat... er, drink up all your no-smoking savings fast. You could get a nice sized bottle of tasty ejuice for what one of those will cost you.
