I don't know what is up with me tonight. I've been doing fine, now all the sudden, I want an analog so bad. I'm so glad I don't have any in the house. I know I have gotten sick of the one or two flavors that I can tolerate, and am desperately hoping that some of the new juices I got will be good when they steep, but, GUH! I am vaping a bwb vanilla bean + nutty, which tastes pretttty good. It may very well be THE thing I'm looking for, once it steeps some. Anyway, just hate this. I know I don't like analogs, they taste nasty! And my house is smelling so good now, and my teeth are getting whiter by the day, and that morning cough is gone, and I do not have the bad dry mouth that I had at night that I had when I was smoking. I guess the deal is like my hubs said, it takes 3 weeks to break a habit, and I've got a week to go for that. Just, ug. I wasn't expecting this, wasn't even looking at those nasty things in the rear-view mirror. Maybe I just need to up my anxiety meds, because maybe some of this is coming from my "fast food thinking," thinking about how easy it is to just get a cig out of the pack and light it, without all the testing, cleaning stuff, organizing stuff, etc. Life was simpler then, though toxic and awful for me. Sigh.

Just venting. I'm sure it will get better soon. In the meantime, can anyone point me to a thread about organization? My desk is covered with stuff, and I can't seem to get a handle on how to organize everything. I've got a steeping/don't like/too weak stash that's in a pouch my daughter made for me, have some juices that are ready/almost ready in a box with a lid. Have the clean and ready to use stuff in another box, a 'need to be cleaned' pile of junk in a bowl in the kitchen, and a plate/saucer where stuff that's been cleaned and is drying sits. And then I have juices I am using/trying + batteries and atomizers and tanks on the top of my desk. eeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Hubs is a woodworker, so maybe I can get him to build me something that will work. It'd be great to see some of you guys' organizational systems or get some tips from y'all about this.

Thanks for listening, and any help you can give me. ;)

What nic MG are you vapeing? I had the same trouble, went to a tank type system and upped from 18mg nic to 36 and havent smoked for a month now. Currently I'm buying 24mg nic liquid, and have finally found a few flavow I can vape a lot.

Bobas bounty and gorilla juice! from AVE

Outlaw 555 and RY8 from pink spot

and Im letting some mountain oak vapor Peach, 555 and ry4 steep, and have noticed the flavor gets better over time.

Oh I remember that awful craving. Sorry you're going through it :( Suggestions for that are a slightly higher nic for the heavy craving times and maybe even a high voltage device, depending on what you are using now.

As for storage, there are tons of options.

I have something like this for small ejuice bottles and ce2's, cartos, attys, etc.
small parts storage

If you're wanting something bigger, I'm a fan of these rolling cart Different configurations and sizes are available, can hold boxes and containers of other things. And if you're going to store e-juice in them, either find the ones with opaque drawers or use contact paper to cover them to keep light out.

Then there are some really nice wooden holders and boxes out there for devices & juice & accessories, but if the hubby can make something for you that's even better :)

Lots use tool/tackle boxes. You can also those makeup/train cases.

So Calif
I got one of these and it's working out very well for accessories.

Amazon.com: Stack-On DSLB-39 39 Bin Plastic Drawer Parts Storage Organizer Cabinet, Light Blue: Home Improvement

It gives me storage for small things like drip tips, drip shields, dripping atomizers, as well as larger items like bottles for DIY, chargers for Ego batts, cartos, and has been a god send. If it's in there, it's clean and ready to go.

Nothing much in life comes easy. I consider the time I spend cleaning gear, making juice, charging batts as a small payment for e cigs having saved my life.

I smoked for 55 years and I have not smoked for nearly a year and a half now. I would not trade the way I feel now for the ease of taking a cig out of a pack and lighting up. The very idea of it makes my skin crawl, frankly.

If you're having cravings for nic perhaps you should up your nic level in a juice just for those occasions.

Just keep yourself stocked with some kind of stable, likable juice or juices, and stay away from the SMELL of cigs. I think that provokes a sense of what you're missing in vaping the most.

Also, I say ease up on your vaping. Don't chain too much. I think it makes the taste sort of bland and "going through the motions" a bit too much (imho). Hold up until you get that craving, and then vape like crazy for a little bit. Rinse repeat. It's pretty satisfying this way.

side effects of analogs can last 4 months to disapear !! i left now 5 months ago ..all is great but i had side effects from leaving analogs ...Gum bleeds are normal so dont panic if it happend, my dentist confirmed it s a well known effect when people stop smoking as smoking analogs hide some gum illness ....they can hide stomach ilnesses too

other side effects can be that You ( your body ) ll miss analogs zillion chemicals and not only the nic !!

Upping your nicotine concentration might help.

Another suggestion is to try to find some snus. The American snus that is available is not great, IMO. It is very sweet. There is a Speedway gas station close to my house that carries one brand of Swedish snus, and I've been using a little bit here and there when it's inconvenient to vape. The taste takes a little getting used to (it's kind of salty the first few times you try it) but I can see how it might address a craving if you are missing something from cigarettes.

I've been off analogs over 3 years now after a 39 year habit. I remember my changeover taking 3 weeks of alternating analogs and vaping. By the end of the third week, i was only hitting an analog once a day, and it seemed nasty because it left a "film" in my mouth afterward. Weeks 5 and 6 were strictly vaping (24 mg RY4 all along). Week 7 I tried an analog, and it just gagged me.

Would that you could just vape and never turn back, but I gotta say if you do hit an analog, you will probably be surprised how crummy they are.

Definitely make sure you're getting enough nicotine; that makes a difference. Don't give up... after 3 years I can testify my lungs are clear, my BP is down, I find the smell of smokers icky (god, how did I smell like that for so long- I'm mortified every time I think of it- although I can't pass judgment on smokers).

It's a much better place you're headed to, and every analog free day down the road, your efforts will not only pay off, but be more satisfying than cigs ever were. Hang in there, baby!

*poof* as you wish! Lots of ideas in there.

Cravings....man I was doing solid for 2 weeks but for some reason yesterday I really, really, really wanted a smoke. I don't have in the house (besides, I made a decision to never go back) so vaped like a mad man, at least 1ml in an hour. It passed.

You didn't go back, you rock.

Hi Trill,

Yes I remember that powerful craving all too well. Last year when I was switching over to an e-cig, I found I couldn't avoid analogs altogether especially if I had one early in the morning.

Anyhow I probably had not got the nic levels in my diy juice right back then.

I knew that first analog of the day was fatal. So I tried a 4Mg Nicotine Cessation lozenge instead. Whoah success - craving gone. And the days became analog-free. I found I did not need the whole lozenge - so being a cheapskate cut them into four. A quarter would do the trick.

Then came the confidence that the craving was actually beatable. Then the aversion to the foul-smelling smoke. I used to love going to pubs but rarely do now because tobacco smoke will tend to waft inside from the smokers near the door. Ugh!

On organisation - papers etc. I'm the world's worst so should not advise anyone. But Lifehacker.com (search for 43 Folders) and the Getting Things Done (a book by David Allen) community has helped me a tiny bit.

Love that organizer! Looks almost perfect, just have to find it in another color. :)

Try giving it another week and if the cravings are still bad you could either up your nicotine or try some WTA juice. Also try inhaling through the nose for added nicotine.

Good Luck.
P.S. Some have had great success with WTA juice but as I stated I'd suggest you wait at least another week. It takes about 2 weeks for the addictive alkoids to exit our system so withdrawal is the norm.

18-24. I started out on 5, because I smoked ultra lights, but went up after taking the advice from wonderful people here, and reading about how it is delivered differently/more slowly than from a cig. Also knew I'd be going through withdrawals from more than just the nic, so I wanted to make sure I had enough of that so that that wasn't part of it. Am using ego-t tank, mostly, but have a the vision clearomizer and another clearomizer, and have the vivi nova for when i find that awesome best flavor (which I think I have!)

There are alot of nasty juices out there for sure. I have gone through many different vendors, and many of their juices. For some reason I have kept the bottles, and within the 3 months I have been vaping, its incredible the pile I have accumulated. Recently I discovered Alien Vision's Boba's Bounty, and it is hands down the best juice I have discovered. I buy it by the 100ml bottles now. Lately, it seems I am vaping 30 ml a week, which is still not even half what I was paying for cigs.
