I got one of these and it's working out very well for accessories.

Amazon.com: Stack-On DSLB-39 39 Bin Plastic Drawer Parts Storage Organizer Cabinet, Light Blue: Home Improvement

It gives me storage for small things like drip tips, drip shields, dripping atomizers, as well as larger items like bottles for DIY, chargers for Ego batts, cartos, and has been a god send. If it's in there, it's clean and ready to go.

Nothing much in life comes easy. I consider the time I spend cleaning gear, making juice, charging batts as a small payment for e cigs having saved my life.

I smoked for 55 years and I have not smoked for nearly a year and a half now. I would not trade the way I feel now for the ease of taking a cig out of a pack and lighting up. The very idea of it makes my skin crawl, frankly.

If you're having cravings for nic perhaps you should up your nic level in a juice just for those occasions.

Now that storage looks perfect! It's weird, it's not really the nic I'm craving (was, I guess I should say, I'm past it now), it was mostly the easy and lightness of them, I think. Thanks to all of you for your support! It really helps more than you know!

Last weekend I smoked for some reason, I dont even know why. I had plenty of juice, my device was hitting fine, who knows?? Anyways, I didnt enjoy it at all. A cigarette is totally awkward and unpleasant to me now. It seems so hot, and raunchy. It even gave me a headache. The craving may never go away, but I believe its totally psychological. The infatuation is just a part of the addiction many of us suffered for so long.

Just keep yourself stocked with some kind of stable, likable juice or juices, and stay away from the SMELL of cigs. I think that provokes a sense of what you're missing in vaping the most.

Also, I say ease up on your vaping. Don't chain too much. I think it makes the taste sort of bland and "going through the motions" a bit too much (imho). Hold up until you get that craving, and then vape like crazy for a little bit. Rinse repeat. It's pretty satisfying this way.

I don't think it's the smoke itself, because that really stinks, to me. I don't even like the tobacco flavored juices. Not smelling any lately, though. Only 2 of us in the house, and the other one quit 25 yrs ago. Thanks for the idea about not chain vaping, but I think I'm already doing what you're suggesting. I just put my ego on the table, then when I get a craving, I grab it and vape. I put it the same place I used to keep my cigs/ashtray. It definitely tastes better after I've given it a bit of a rest, though! :) Thanks!

side effects of analogs can last 4 months to disapear !! i left now 5 months ago ..all is great but i had side effects from leaving analogs ...Gum bleeds are normal so dont panic if it happend, my dentist confirmed it s a well known effect when people stop smoking as smoking analogs hide some gum illness ....they can hide stomach ilnesses too

other side effects can be that You ( your body ) ll miss analogs zillion chemicals and not only the nic !!

Yeah, had my first gums bleeding last night. Hasn't happened in years, but I also broke my sonicare and am using a regular toothbrush right now while I'm waiting for my new sonicare. 4 months, huh? Ah well, I'll get through it. This is definitely nothing like quitting cold turkey. Cravings happened tonite, but it's not suffering, like I have in the past. Just gotta push through it. Funny about the stomach issues. I was just wondering a couple of days ago if I could get off the Nexium now. I was always told that smoking was making the problem worse. But since there are stomach issues involved with quitting, I'm gonna just stay on them until I run out (I probably have 120 day supply of them). Thanks!

Upping your nicotine concentration might help.

Another suggestion is to try to find some snus. The American snus that is available is not great, IMO. It is very sweet. There is a Speedway gas station close to my house that carries one brand of Swedish snus, and I've been using a little bit here and there when it's inconvenient to vape. The taste takes a little getting used to (it's kind of salty the first few times you try it) but I can see how it might address a craving if you are missing something from cigarettes.

I've upped it quite a bit since I started. snus are out of the question for me, though. Not only are they gross IMO, but I just want to have nothing to do with tobacco at all. I think if I felt I was in danger of slipping, I might try them, but the cravings aren't bad enough that I'm gonna go buy some cigs, noooo way! :) Thanks!

I've been off analogs over 3 years now after a 39 year habit. I remember my changeover taking 3 weeks of alternating analogs and vaping. By the end of the third week, i was only hitting an analog once a day, and it seemed nasty because it left a "film" in my mouth afterward. Weeks 5 and 6 were strictly vaping (24 mg RY4 all along). Week 7 I tried an analog, and it just gagged me.

Would that you could just vape and never turn back, but I gotta say if you do hit an analog, you will probably be surprised how crummy they are.

Definitely make sure you're getting enough nicotine; that makes a difference. Don't give up... after 3 years I can testify my lungs are clear, my BP is down, I find the smell of smokers icky (god, how did I smell like that for so long- I'm mortified every time I think of it- although I can't pass judgment on smokers).

It's a much better place you're headed to, and every analog free day down the road, your efforts will not only pay off, but be more satisfying than cigs ever were. Hang in there, baby!

I love to hear success stories. My last couple drags of a cig was like that, just, yuck, and I lol'd about you saying you are mortified by how you smelled, because I feel the same way. De-tarring the whole house is just crazy. My hubs' doc (he's both our doc) used to keep asking him, "are you still smoking?" and he'd say, "no, my wife smokes," and the doc would say, "so do you." Yeah, I feel bad about that, and that's one of the millions of reasons I quit. Thanks for your support!! :)

*poof* as you wish! Lots of ideas in there.

Cravings....man I was doing solid for 2 weeks but for some reason yesterday I really, really, really wanted a smoke. I don't have in the house (besides, I made a decision to never go back) so vaped like a mad man, at least 1ml in an hour. It passed.

You didn't go back, you rock.

ooo thanks for that link! and you rock, too!! :) NO going back!!

Hi Trill,

Yes I remember that powerful craving all too well. Last year when I was switching over to an e-cig, I found I couldn't avoid analogs altogether especially if I had one early in the morning.

Anyhow I probably had not got the nic levels in my diy juice right back then.

I knew that first analog of the day was fatal. So I tried a 4Mg Nicotine Cessation lozenge instead. Whoah success - craving gone. And the days became analog-free. I found I did not need the whole lozenge - so being a cheapskate cut them into four. A quarter would do the trick.

Then came the confidence that the craving was actually beatable. Then the aversion to the foul-smelling smoke. I used to love going to pubs but rarely do now because tobacco smoke will tend to waft inside from the smokers near the door. Ugh!

On organisation - papers etc. I'm the world's worst so should not advise anyone. But Lifehacker.com (search for 43 Folders) and the Getting Things Done (a book by David Allen) community has helped me a tiny bit.

I alternated the first 7-8 days, then quit. I've definitely got the aversion going on, just had a bad craving night, I reckon. The mornings were definitely the hardest, but now I keep my vape right on my nightstand, and grab it on my way to my office room. lol Vape my head off to make up for those 8 hours, and I'm fine within probably half an hour. Thanks for the links and the book! :)

Try giving it another week and if the cravings are still bad you could either up your nicotine or try some WTA juice. Also try inhaling through the nose for added nicotine.

Good Luck.
P.S. Some have had great success with WTA juice but as I stated I'd suggest you wait at least another week. It takes about 2 weeks for the addictive alkoids to exit our system so withdrawal is the norm.

Not gonna go the WTA route. I've read a bit about it, but I'm pretty sure I can get by without going back to anything that has to do with tobacco, except nicotine. I'm gonna push through it, no matter how many weeks it takes. Last night got bad, but that's the first time since I dropped the cigs. I imagine I'll have some more of these in the future, but I'll just run to you guys for help, because you're a very supportive bunch! Thanks!!

It does take quite awhile to go away. I've been analog free for over 4 months now and once I hit that 4 I don't even think about analogs now. The best thing to do is once you get that craving do something that keeps you busy. Clean some attys or clearos/cartos, clean the desk or something of that nature. In about 5 minutes the craving should have gone away. For me as soon as I got the craving for the ole nic stick I went for a short walk around the block and listened to some music and after about 10 min I wasn't even thinking about it anymore. You're doing a great job keep it up !!!!!!!!
