Hi there! I managed six full days since I last smoked and it has not been too difficult, apart from the first three days. Everywhere I read that quitting usually gets easier after the first week. For me, I think the opposite will be true: as the novelty subsides, there will be more out-of-the-blue realizations that something is missing. I am not sure what that is, but I know that if I smoked I would not have these random pesky feelings of insatisfaction. Maybe it is slight depression. When this happens, I just immediately start vaping more, but find myself having to do quite often and the strange feeling never completely goes away. I predict this will get worse in the weeks, months ahead. I don't seem to be in the danger of succumbing and lighting up a cigarette (don't have or want any in the house). Still, I predict this strange mood will get worse in the weeks, months ahead. I suppose I will just have to endure this as long as it takes.

It would be nice to know if others have experienced this. Did it go away?

Thanks.

You're body does go through a lot of changes when you quit smoking/start vaping.

I was mildly depressed for a few weeks too (it did go away). That was probably the only real symptom I had- but overall it was a pretty smooth transition. I didn't stop smoking immediately though, which I think is great.

Focus on the all the positives that you're doing for yourself. It helped me to post here, try to help people, read the success stories.

Be proud of yourself!! It really is an achievement. Here's to being smoke free! :vapor:

I'm sure everyone is different in this area, but I do still find "something missing". This is my second round with ecigs (7+ months before, 1.5 now). It hasn't really gone away either time, but it's been pretty manageable. It's more like I would like a regular cigarette rather than a full blown craving. It does get lighter as time goes by, even if it doesn't fully go away, and the time periods without that feeling get longer. Just remind yourself that you are getting your nicotine, you don't smell nearly as bad, and a real cig will taste yucky.

Hang in there. I know it's a weird feeling, but the benefits outweigh it. :)

Well, there are a bunch of other things in cigarettes that your body is used to getting that e-liquid is not giving you. That may play into the feelings you have. I was unsatisfied by vaping for a while because I started at 12mg and the flavors I had were not really doing it for me. I bumped my nic to 24mgs and noticed an immediate difference. I also got a different clearo and it helped. Just try to change some things around and most importantly keep your head up. It will get better and you'll notice subtle changes in your health. That was the main motivator for me.

I've been lucky.... No craving whatsoever. Make sure you are vaping a high enough nic to help cut down any cravings you might get. It will get better and you may even find yourself cutting back on your nicotine strength in time. Once your body rids itself of all the toxins smoking gave you, you will know it. You'll no doubt start feeling better and better. Good luck to you on your journey to better health.... We're here if you need us. :toast:

Ahh, the search for something missing!! That search is the reason I own a Provari, then made me buy a rba, now I make my own coils and juice, have gotten into mechs and simply love everything vape. The something missing turned out, for me, to be big clouds of vape. I can honestly say that I am not missing anything now and have found what was missing when I smoked.
