Ok, I can't seem to remedy an air leak in the UFS2, I have disassembled and cleaned twice, changed attys, changed seals and I still have that open airway. My Ufs1 is perfect, so I interchanged parts to locate the problem, the only change that seals the UFS2 is the collection tank and just the tank, not the connector, control ring, or center pin just the tank. UFS1 tank on UFS2 great seal, and an airy UFS1, switch them back and back to the original problem. I checked both pieces with a magnifying glass and I don't see anything wrong. Anybody have a clue?

I tried that again, hoping cranking it would help and thats not it. I just don't get it I can change everything every which way and nothing changes until I change the tank, funny just that piece of metal. I put the parts from either UFS on it it's sealed. If I do the opposite onto tank 2 and it's open. I am stumped, maybe specs off a tad that are not visible to the naked eye? I wasn't going to us this, but decided I so give it a test drive. I vapes fine, just airy, I just don't care for airy. Thanks for the idea.
I know what you are talking about and I am 99% sure it is the air control ring. On the new UFS I just crack it, on my old one I have to open it more. I also noticed that I really have to crank down the air ring on my new one to completely close the air control. I much prefer the old air control.

Thanks, everything points to the tank sleeve, gobs of vaseline over the 4 air holes slowed it down a bunch so at least now its useable, try it the UFS is bomb.
My UFS v2 is very airy too... I like your method of finding out which part is wrong... I only have this UFS so I'm can't do it.

Sorry I was on my phone when I posted and didn't have a chance to double check it like normal.

What I was saying is if you put a bunch of vasoline on the air intake holes on the overflow tank and close the controll ring and it still does it it means it probably has nothing to do with those holes or the air controll ring. IE air could be leaking in through the bottom of the overflow tank or from around the threads of the bottom of the juice tank.

If it stopped then it means maybe a bad o ring was put on the air controll ring or maybe the holes were drilled slightly off or something like that.

If it stops it means there is something wonky with the seal when you close the controll ring.

One other way to check if it's the holes/control ring: Without juice in the tank obviously - remove the control ring and cover the 4 vent holes with a piece of tape or even your finger. I doubt it but if you get the good air intake with the holes covered we need to look further than just the vent holes/control ring.

I suspect you'll see the air almost completely shut off (as it should be) when the holes are covered. Basically just trying to rule out any other piece or other O-ring seal issue. I tried it before posting and with my big paws, covering the holes with a finger was good enough. Moving the finger allowed full flow.

If that is your results, we can narrow it down to the CR or the holes themselves. Hope that makes sense and will allow Wigglr to check his w/o the benefit of a second UFS. While it is optimal to have the air flow shut off with the CR turned all the way down, you may find that it neds to be backed off a touch to insure coverage of the holes by the O-ring.

Holes are the same mud. So I will tell you something to try. Put off the o-ring from inside CR and screw-unscrew many times and very hard the CR against CT. I mean totally screw CR as hard as you can then unscrew a little , then the same. That way the CR will take the shape of the CT and it will solve the issue.
