Crazy idea to keep my copper proper

I just ordered a Copper SMPL clone and a copper Plume Veil, then i thought back to how i messed up the copper connections in my steel punk slug so i came up with an idea ive not yet seen done before,COVERING THE mod WITH SARAN WRAP!!! but just one layer with vape bands keeping it on there ill skip out on putting it on the atty since no one likes melting plastic in there vape, does it sound like a decent idea to keep the luster of the mod?

You define the proper look of copper different than me...... Proper copper colors to me is brown with greens and blacks. Not that reddish color you get via the mechanical application of chemicals and elbow grease.

The greens, browns and blacks are corrosion and oxidation, it's the color of patina not copper.

I dig Patina'd copper and brass too, sometimes.
It has it's place, but be sure to keep all contact points clean or the performance will fall.

I don't understand trying to keep something looking new by covering it, but never getting to enjoy it because it's covered. It's like plastic on furniture...

...it's a clone, buy six of them and when one looks crappy swap it out. IMO there's no sense in keeping something looking fresh that costs less than the price of a Chipotle meal. They're like $10 each if you buy more than 3 at Focal.

Edit: Just realized New York charges more for a pack of cigarettes than a clone SMPL.

Or you could just buy a roll of clear contact paper at your local craft store and cut it yourself? Then you'd have a ton of it anytime it started peeling up or if you scuffed it.

**I have no idea if this would actually work or if you risk having an adhesive residue that would affect the copper**

$13.50 for clear wrap that fits a SMPL is highway robbery IMO, A 3"x5" automotive clear Vinyl sample costs like $0.99, which is enough to cover most 22mm tube mods and leaves room to trim for a perfect fit. Hell a 2ft x 1ft sheet of clear paint protection film costs me $8 and I could do two dozen mods with that, if not more.

Source: I wrap cars for a living, materials are cheap and plentiful.

i know both of those will do the trick i want to just use seran wrap but idk how well saran wrap would holp up :l plus the nearest hardware store is 40miles away xD

i actually like the look of copper patina.
And removing it is hardly much of a bother.
Just soak it in hot water and vinegar and give it a rubdown with a sponge if it gets too bad.
